The ceremony will take place on a deserted beach, the bride will wear a couture gown, and the guests will be ferried to and from Seal's cliffside villa in the Costa Careyes resort, a secluded celebrity enclave on the Pacific coast. So, who's the lucky lady? And when did he get divorced from his first wife, German supermodel Heidi Klum? Actually, there is no new bride. In May 2009, he'll be remarrying Heidi, his wife of three years, for the fourth time. 'It's where we got married in May 2005, and it's become a bit of a custom to get married there again every year,' he explains. 'We love it. It's great saying your vows again. You remember who it was you fell in love with. It's also a good excuse to have a big party, and we have a different theme every year.' Perhaps, for Seal, it is also an opportunity to remind himself just how far he has come. A quick recap of his childhood and it's no wonder he says he pinches himself every day. Born to immigrant parents in London - his mother was Nigerian, his father Brazilian - he is still scarred by an attack of discoid lupus, a rare autoimmune disease, when he was an infant. By the time he was a toddler, he'd been sent to live with foster parents in Essex. 'Of course I think about that. I'm a working-class boy from Kilburn. I didn't have a pot to p**s in, and now we live in Beverly Hills and I'm married to Heidi Klum,' he says. 'But forget about Heidi being a supermodel. She's just the most incredible person I've ever met.' Seal, 45, can't stop talking about his wife, and he's also infinitely proud of their three children: Leni, four, Henry, three, and Johan, two. But the Seal and Klum fairytale is not entirely conventional. Heidi was pregnant by another man when they met. She had just split from multimillionaire F1 boss Flavio Briatore. 'Heidi didn't know she was pregnant with Leni at the time,' says Seal. 'Then, after about six weeks, she found out. I thought, "She's found out she's pregnant and she's spending time with me - she must really like me." I was bowled over. Heidi is an intelligent woman with high principles, and she was saying she wanted to be with me. For the first time in my life, I was never more clear that I felt the same.' The couple brought up Leni together, and Seal treats her as his own. 'People say, "You have two kids, right?" And I always say, "No, I have three." Children aren't really yours; you don't own them, whether they're biologically yours or not. You've been given the privilege of playing an integral part in the development of a new life. They take their lead from you. So, whether they're biologically yours or not is completely irrelevant. I never really think about whether Leni's my own or not. Heidi and I are the only two parents she's ever known.' Flavio, a renowned playboy who also dated Naomi Campbell before marrying 28-year-old Wonderbra model Elisabetta Gregoraci earlier this year, has never had any involvement in Leni's upbringing. A decision that Seal believes is right for all concerned. 'I think he's a great man who was faced with a difficult situation,' he says. 'I'm full of admiration for him. A selfish man might want to disrupt the child's setup, and he's clearly not a selfish man.' His parents split up when he was a baby and he was sent to live with white foster parents in Romford, Essex. The couple, Barbara and Frank Scoolings, had four children of their own and Seal was very happy there. But then, aged four, his mother took him back, only to leave him again two years later and return to Nigeria. Seal was then raised by his father and stepmother, and the relationship wasn't easy. He describes his father as a 'troubled soul', who was quick to lash out. Last year, Klum hired a detective to track down the foster parents who had meant so much to him as a child. He still credits the Scoolings for his strong moral values. 'I hadn't seen them for 40 years, but they had played such a big part in my life. When you consider the fractured childhood I had, I've been very fortunate. Things could have turned out very differently. 'My foster family laid the foundations for what I've become. I owe them so much, because they were a real beacon of light for me. I've kept in contact with them, and the kids are going to meet them the next time we bring them over. They've got to see little Henry, because he looks a lot like me at the same age. 'For Heidi to do that for me is typical of her. It was her kindness I was first attracted to. When she puts her mind to something, she does it.' After leaving home at 16, he had dreams of becoming a designer or an architect, but found himself in dead-end jobs until he started singing at regular pub gigs in his early 20s. His music career took off when he became the lead singer of funk band Push. Then he met Adam Tinley and co-wrote Killer, which was a number one hit in 1990. Seal's following track, Crazy, received a similar response and he won three Grammy awards for Kiss From A Rose in 1996. More than a decade later, Seal is relishing what he describes as a 'second stage' to his career. 'I didn't fully appreciate my success at the time,' he says. His latest project is a covers album of soul music classics. It's an idea he came up with on a trip to the Californian wine region, Napa Valley, with his wife. 'I remember hearing Sam Cooke's A Change Is Gonna Come on the radio, and thought it was so relevant to today's social climate,' he says. 'So I called the producer David Foster and we recorded the song - but he didn't want to stop there. 'We picked songs that would best showcase my voice, but they are also a massive part of my childhood. My mum listened to music avidly, especially Motown, so I feel it's almost part of my DNA. I've Been Loving You Too Long is my favourite track on the album. Addicted to marriage: Heidi Klum and Seal arriving at the Golden Globe Awards in 2007 'My stepmother was a big Otis Redding fan, and now that song is like the soundtrack for my relationship with my wife. Otis sings, "I've been loving you too long to stop now", and I felt that exact sentiment five months after I had met Heidi. 'Professionally and personally, I find myself striving to be better at what I do,' he says. 'It's not me I have to think about now. It's the example I set to our children; it's the example I set to my wife, as she sets an example to me. She raises the bar for me all the time. Everything I do, every note I sing, I sing for my family.'
