while i dont like SATC nor would i go see it, i think boycotting it en masse because it has no brothas or IR love in it is a bit much.

if that were the criteria, like my friend here said, then we would have to boycott 99% of the movies coming out.

heck i dont go to hollywood films, that i guess is my boycott, but its because i dont care for the industry

.. so, um, are there any sexy love scenes in the flick? I've read that SJP refuses to do anything topless on the show...

If not then that flick sucks.

I went with my girlfriend to watch this movie, and this thread is pure garbage. Jennifer hudson' love interest is a black male and in the end they got married.

Where have we seen that b4??? Just about every "Black" movie Hollywood makes.

Duh!!! I was referring to IR between a bruh and one of the white lead actresses. U can't be that ignorant. Just read the URL on this site.

I think you should specify, cos your thread is actually misleading, if what you said is really what you were referring to then you come across as a whiny child. It is an extreme reason to boycott a film and undermines the rest of us who have real reasons to complain about not having black male love interests in films.

What brothas were planning to see SATC anyway? You sound as ridiculous as BW who wanted to boycott Formula One racing 'cause Lewis Hamilton dates white women

Sex In The City was a worthless and boring show. All it was about 4 over sex-obsessed bimbos looking for love. Absolutely nothing appealing about it. I don't get why the media hyped this movie in the manner it did, the show pretty much was dumb and boring, and the movie (thankfully I didn't and won't watch it) will be the same.

The movie was funny and cute. It is a chick flick so no Mike-you probably would not "get" it.

So you're a "drone" if you're a fan of Sex and the City, but somehow you're not if you're a fan of Indiana Jones and comic book films?

And why should the show or movie be a platform for promoting intercultural relationships?

Me too tuck. But what I am finding is it is increasingly difficult to be able to go see them. All the theaters locally show the same 10-12 big hollywood movies. I have to drive 30 miles into dallas, to the Angelika to see the kind of movies that interest me.

Matter of fact, I am going into Austin this weekend to see a movie, Bab'Aziz: the Prince who contemplated his Soul.

Is the Angelika near Mockingbird station and SMU??? My mom talks about it but I haven't been there.

Yeap. I only wish it were closer. I really want to see Mongol, which is showing there right now.

I like foreign films myself. One of them is Priceless starring Audrey Tautou. It was sensual as well as funny.

Don't plan to hit the theatres until X Files 2 comes out. And that will be the first time I've been to see a movie in a theatre in a hoooooooot minute.
