You're right, but tucker isn't a nationalist, based on what he claims to love. If he were, then anyone/anything and everyone/everything that ISN'T AMERICAN, would be 'sickening' or 'poison' to him, much like Adolf's views and beliefs about Germany.
thanks Sardonic- I am not a nationalist in the negative way some people use that term. I have nationalistic tendencies and i am a pro American Patriot for sure. But I dont think that America or Americans are inherintly better than other countries. I believe that we have many positives about my country, but I also see the flaws, and we have many of those too. I love people from all countries and I love travelling to other places and respect how others live. so Patriot (YES), Nationalist, NO
usually i let sleeping dogs lie... but... this post deserves a bump I remember Malcom X changing his views after being "enlightened," on his trip to Mecca, where he seen people of ALL colors, sharing Islam... that's why people should travel more..
What about children? Scenario: Let's pretend for a second that a 5-year-old kid looks at his neighbor and calls him a "poopy-head" because he stole his toy. Let's also pretend that this neighbor friend is a black 5-year-old kid. Now, obviously the first 5 year old is wrong but was it racially motivated or was it ignorance? We make many decisions and statements when we are young(er) that we look back on and cringe. It isn't fair to hold it against someone if they have truly made a change, acknowledged their ignorance and tried to correct that wrong. That being said....we all know that a 5-year old would never call anyone a "poopy-head."
Nobody should be considered irrevocably unredeemable.... Floyd Cochrane, T.J. Leyden, Malcolm X, Muhammad Ali...and others rather too numerous to mention. It's all down to the Temple and their God that is within Their Heart and Soul. Thanx fer the bump, m8... And as for 'people should travel more' sentiment... Stay 'TOONED for a 'Rep', m8... Ali called another BM a monkey and gorilla...and dating the whitest BW he could get his hands on. I wouldnt put too much into anything he said about race.
Personally, IMO, Ali was merely alotta jippetyjippetyjippetyjippetyjippetyjippety..with nothing to be taken TOO seriously.... After all, he is (was?) a showman for showman's sake both in & out of the ring.... In the Jim Brown autobio "OUT OF BOUNDS", Brown recalled how, when Ali and his NOI associates visited England...they ALL went out discoing with White girls (Nightclubbing and IR were allegedly BIG no-no's in their religion)...when asked about this, Ali was quoted as saying "Elijah (Muhammad said the American and the Germanic people are The Devils, but the British are okay".. Later on, when they again met Stateside, Ali had an Italian lass on his arm...and when confronted by Brown about *that*...Ali retorted "You know Italians ain't White".. One just can't take any real stock or cast any validity on what most people say is the *right* (or wrong) thing to do... OpinionsCartoonStudios@Yahoo.Co.UK
