Dark Horse Comics is launching a new archival hardcover line with Marvel Black & White: Barry Windsor-Smith’s Weapon X.

The oversized 9" x 12" edition presents Windsor-Smith’s acclaimed Wolverine story from Marvel Comics Presents #72–84 in black and white, highlighting the original artwork.

The 192-page hardcover also includes material from The Uncanny X-Men #205 and #214, archival artwork scans, and an essay. It arrives in bookstores and comic shops on November 24, 2026, for $60.

It's a good watch. Primarily because it doesn't drag out the story compared to some other anime that adapt from their manga source material. Currently waiting to see how long it takes for season 3 to come out.

 

Thats what I like about it, it gets to the good stuff rather quickly, I also like that the main character actually changes as a person as his power increases, which is much more realistic than the shows with heroes who grow into god-tier heroes who act like nothing has changed since the beginning arc of the show.

 

Image Comics will release Kick-Ass Compendium on August 12, 2026.

The 720-page paperback collection brings together all four volumes of the original series, beginning with 2008’s Kick-Ass #1 by Mark Millar and John Romita Jr., the comic that was later optioned for the Kick-Ass from Lionsgate.

The compendium follows Dave Lizewski as he discovers what it really takes to become a superhero while navigating the dangerous streets of New York City. The collection includes Kick-Ass Vol. 1 #1–8, Kick-Ass Vol. 2 #1–5, Kick-Ass Vol. 3 #1–6, and Kick-Ass Vol. 4 #1–8.

Kick-Ass Compendium will retail for $39.99.

Marvel has delayed its Midnight Universe comic launch, originally scheduled for August through October.

All three series—Midnight X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Spider-Man—will now launch exclusively on October 7.

Executive Editor Dan Buckley will oversee this horror-reimagined Marvel Universe. The initial lineup features the following:

• Midnight X-Men (Jonathan Hickman/Matteo Della Fonte): A New York City vampire war.
• Midnight Fantastic Four (Benjamin Percy/Kev Walker): Twisted mad-scientist creations.
• Midnight Spider-Man (Phillip Kennedy Johnson/ScieTronc): A grotesque Oscorp-created hybrid.

Todd McFarlane's Original Spawn Makes Its Comics Debut


Todd McFarlane created the character of Spawn in 1977, when he was 16 years old, and now he’s bringing that original version to comics for the first time in the three-issue miniseries Spawn ’77, co-written by McFarlane and Mark Spears with fully painted interior art by Spears.

"I created Spawn when I was 16," McFarlane said at the ICv2 Insider Talks at New York Comic Con in 2025.
"I could have given it to Marvel and DC dozens of times over. I chose not to, not only that character but others. Why? There wasn't a system, I thought, that was equitable and fair for me to pull it out and give it to them.” Instead, he developed the character on his own, and when he launched it, the first issue sold 1.7 million copies, a record for an independent comic.

"Going back to my roots of when I first developed Spawn as a high school kid, when I was just beginning to feel deeply passionate about collecting comics, and being able to use some of those ideas now 50 years later is really a personal treat for me," McFarlane said in a statement accompanying the announcement.


Image Comics will launch the series in September 2026 with a 64-page first issue.

Marvel Comics Announces ‘Captain America: The Death of Captain America’ Premier Edition for November Release

Marvel will release Captain America: The Death of Captain America on November 3. The 272-page Premier Edition collects Captain America (2004) #22-30 and Winter Soldier: Winter Kills (2006).

Written by Ed Brubaker with art by Steve Epting, Mike Perkins, and Lee Weeks, the storyline explores the chaotic aftermath of Steve Rogers' murder.

The narrative follows the Falcon’s quest for revenge, Sharon Carter’s downward spiral, and Bucky Barnes confronting his past, all while facing threats from Red Skull, Sin, Crossbones, and a new Serpent Squad.

Warner Bros. Animation and DC have released the official trailer for Batman: Knightfall Part 1 (2026), the first installment in an R-rated animated trilogy adapting DC Comics' landmark 1993 Knightfall crossover.

Warner Bros. has not yet announced a specific street date for digital, Blu-ray, or 4K UHD.

 

That's some 90s nostalgia. This is the kind of thing I wish Marvel did, I would love to see some of the big events from 90s marvel redone as animated projects.
