Sounds great! You've definitely earned it, and you have the rest of your life to work, so enjoy yourself a little.
bringing this thread back because I'm looking at taking a job in Atlanta. my coworkers who have lived there in the past have suggested Midtown or Alpharetta but I checked out some apartments and for someone like me it's super expensive! are there any cool places in Atlanta that are less costly? and lastly but probably most importantly, what's the vibe there? thank you all
Heyyy, I was in Atlanta visiting a friend for a couple weeks last year. It's a fun city. Lots to do. Interracial dating is pretty popular there.
I guess it ultimately depends on how much of a commute you want to endure. Rents get cheaper as you get towards the boonies, so kinda catch 22, because the vibe in the boonies is as you would expect.
From Atlanta here, resident of mid-town The vibe in the city is great, absolutely heaven for a white woman into interracial dating if that's what you're asking I would also suggest going for a smaller, cheaper place in midtown area versus a bigger place in the boonies
thanks for the advice I don't mind commuting but I also work a lot and I have been told the traffic isn't the easiest. so I think I'm going to keep everything close by thank you and yes that's part of what I was asking I've been in Louisville for almost a year and I’ve been trapped in this never ending OT cycle. I say yes to way too many extra shifts and now my boss has come to expect it and I’m rlly burnt out from the 60-70 hour work weeks. the idea of moving for a fresh start is really exciting hearing from you that the dating scene is as good as I've heard is reassuring too also your suggestion to go smaller with the place really helps. maybe I'm overreacting by thinking of moving again, maybe I just need a better workplace where I already am. but seriously thank you I just did an interview and will be back for more advice if it's looking like I will get a job offer thank you ily I hope you are doing well and you didn't have too much of a hard time when your son moved out, I know that was a big change I hope you enjoy summer and as @Soulthinker says I hope you find a brother that treats you right
