Anti homeless architecture. And the money they wasted on it could've been used...to HELP THE HOMELESS.
The architecture is by design. That's because all the corporate interests that own the various fast food chains & restaurants don't make all their money from the restaurants. They make it off of the properties that the restaurants are built on. There are very few, if any, corporate owned brick & mortar restaurant. They are all effectively corporate franchised restaurants. Hence the modular type building designs no matter who owns whatever franchise. If a franchise fails & closes down, no big deal for the corporation because sooner or later there will be a new renter for the building/property. Even if it isn't another franchise they own but someone else setting up a different business venture.
