That resonates with me as a problem that the MCU has, in much the same way as the Star Wars universe. Andor (and Rogue One) has some of the best storytelling in that universe in part because it explores a grimmer side, as opposed to being directed at the kids. Helstrom was good, at least in my opinion, because it welcomed a more serious storyline that wasn't too lighthearted or cartoon-ish.
Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s anticipated film, Frankenstein. Del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation. At the center of the film are Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth. Joining them are Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley , and Christian Convery, with Charles Dance and Christoph Waltz. The writer-director is fulfilling a lifelong dream: adapting his own version of Mary Shelley’s beloved 1818 Gothic novel, Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus. Shelley completed the novel at the age of 19, and Del Toro has cited it for years that is an inspiration for his work. Credit: Vital
