https://www.youtube.com/shorts/0dHpA84Lsb4 Michael & Hailee are starting to enter Will & Margot/Charlize territory. lol.
I be worried if I was Josh Allen (he has a rep for cheating on Hailee in the past). His defenders are like he is the King of the City (The City is BUffalo lmao) and that he is 5 inches taller and I am like yeah but does he have the inches where it counts. Once you clear 6 ft tall as a dude you are good. Could really be a Sydney Sweeney, Her fiance, and Glen Powell situation.
Throughout the press tour, their chemistry has been electric. I don't know where Josh Allen has gone off to, but this might be the perfect opportunity for Michael to risk it all.
I thoughtfully disagree . . . with all due respect. Micheal should play it cool nonchalant and respectful to like sky on those haters who are steaming inside that he gets to enjoy these romantic roles. If Josh and Haillee break up though then he could be the shoulder to cry on. You just don't want the reputation of being overtly opportunistic romantically in your professional life as an actor of African ancestry. It is not a good look unless things just evolve organically . . . over an extended period of time as an anomaly . . . not the very first chance you get at the elite level and you're trying to bed the romantic co-star lol
Am I missing something? I don’t see anything other than two actors selling a film important to both their careers. MBJ headlining and producing films gives him more opportunities to make projects instead of auditioning for them. HS is looking to transition out of big-budget commercial fare (heroine) and into more nuanced, complicated work (dramatic lead). They both stand to benefit greatly from this film’s strong (reviews) box office performance. Also, they shot this film two years ago and only recently started the press tour - that’s a lifetime ago for celebrities. I don’t think they’re faking it, but I don’t think selling your chemistry is the same thing as detonating your private life.
They could've kept in touch during that time though. I just think their relationship developed into a flirty one like with Will's. I wouldn't rule out it's just to sell the film VERY possible; just going by my observation though I think it's organic.
Leon Thomas currently has the #1 R&B hit in the country with "Mutt". I been bumping the track since Fall, but I only just recently found out in the last week or so that he's a former Nickelodeon star on the show "Victorious" which obviously starred his fellow co-star in that pic Victoria Justice. Here's an old pic of them on the set: Off-topic, did y'all ever discuss the show on this subforum in the past? I stumbled onto to a YouTube clip, that broke down how ridiculously the show went out of its way to never have Leon Thomas' character be romantically-paired up with any of the starlets on the show (which also included Ariana Grande & Elizabeth Gillies).
This was one of the pre-teen shows that my son watched as a young kid, so I somewhat followed it. I guess I shouldn't be surprised about that, given the insane amount of uproar that any updating of Disney /Nickelodeon kids' programming seems to generate among the anti-progress crowd.
My niece used to watch this. It follows the basic romance plots of all those shows before it that I watched in the 90s when I was in that age bracket. The saved by the bells, California dreams, hang times, city guys and later shows like what I like about you. Basically the brotha is never to seen as a romantic option for anyone in the main cast. He would occasionally fall for the hot black girl that was also a student at the school or lived around the area but was never seen again after that one episode. He is nothing more than the good friend and the funny guy. They used to make him the awkward friend in the 90s but then transitioned him to the cool guy that was super talented. That’s American tv though. Now Canadian tv would have been a different story. The pushed boundary with their teen shows. Degrassi always had bros getting romantic with lead girls. As well as some of their other shows. Instant star comes to mind as well.
