How much older do you consider “much older”?

As a 'younger' girl, I find much older men are just as interested as those my age x

I have seen many attractive younger women, but wouldn’t dream of flirting with a woman who is my son’s age. My partner is 43 and that difference is significant enough for me.

I wouldn't be interested in anyone my son's age either. There was a time when nosy people (usually friends & family) would tell me I needed to "find a husband" for my son's sake, and my smartass response was that I was waiting until he was grown so I could start dating his friends. lol That was a pretty effective way to shut them up. :p

The youngest I've dated was eight years younger, and even that was too much. Of course, it had more to do with his maturity level than anything—it didn't help that he was the baby of a family with 13 kids. lol

Younger men I encounter don't seem to care about the age difference, but I prefer men around my age.

I guess that age, while “just a number”, can be an indicator of the probable maturity level of a given person.

Of course they don't care since they are only interested in the "experience" that you have.....

    Yep. Sometimes it can.

Maybe so, but I have no interest in them benefitting from my "experience". lol

In my younger years lol I found myself locked in with someone two years older, after that two years younger, fast forward to the recent disaster lol seven years difference.

Mentally, they were all in their pre teens, financially, stability wise and sexually the seven year age gap was the best, but we shared no common interest apart from an explosive sex life.

In my experience I think everyone offers very diverse qualities and intentions.

One thing I've never encountered is a man not interested in the attention from other women or the true want to 'settle down'. age knows no bounds with this. Lol.

I tend to like and set my dating preferences, to about 5-10 years older but I've dated below that and also much higher than that. I don't agree that "age is just a number" because it depends on the ages, but I don't think age gaps necessarily are a thing to be hung up on.

Agree, like you said it depends on the gap in ages. I personally don’t go higher or lower than 6-7 years mainly due to that being the age gap for my parents who have a successful 25+ year marriage but I’ve seen other relationships with a bigger age gap not work out numerous times.

I wonder to what degree age differences played a role in those breakups.

Good question I’m not sure tbh. I do know one case down to “maturity” but outside of that I’m unsure.
