I was just discussing this with one of my close friends. We were actually discussing him getting a gun for home as he recently had a home invasion. I was telling him about the steps he'd need to take, getting practice etc. This case came up in our conversation to which I reminded him... that he's a good person and it's very unlikely that he'd shoot a person he didn't know who is ringing his doorbell. It's just sickening how so many are quick to murder others under the pretense of protecting their property/defending themselves. Even more sickening it how much it's accepted, and no doubt this person was about to be the latest person to escape accountability.
