Tarshi was hilarious. I must say that you're doing a fine job of representing for the Down Under these days. LMFAO @ "fellow Aussies have run into the sunset with their chocolate kings never to return lol". I literally imagined you guys running away skipping through the daisies and giggling that you'd won in the end.

I cannot believe that Australia is that bad. I know it's a thinly populated continent, but there have to be at least a few pockets of African-American men, no? Active duty? Ex-military? Multinational corporation employees? Nada?

I'm pretty sure she hated me, if it's the person I'm thinking of lol. Australia honestly is just rubbish. I think there's an army base somewhere here I think in WA, apparently there's African Americans there, but it's too hot where it's located lol where I work it's a sea of white with the exception of one Indian guy.

I don't know if you've heard of Pauline Hansen, she's basically the Australian equivalent of Trump, but her views aren't as bad. She's trying to do something about migration. Her opinion is that we're losing 'Australia' all our houses are being purchased by overseas investors and Indians are over running the place. She thinks we could consider Australia multicultural if there were a large variance of ethnicities. How it is here is similar to the UK, complete cities over taken by Indians and Asians to the point it doesn't feel like Australia and she sees it only getting worse. I don't know how bad it is there with housing, but here where I am in Brisbane a city that's nowhere near as advanced as other cities, the average house price for a standard home is 800k.

$800K is extreme, even in a place with a booming economy, but I know that smaller cities like Brisbane receive unequal attention in terms of economic development efforts and have a difficult time attracting firms that pay higher wages. That kind of economic pressure can certainly feed worker anxiety about immigration and the pressure it puts on costs of everday goods.

I can’t imagine Tarshi hating anyone. Nevertheless, I am glad you are still here, hanging in there at the site.

Australia is all the way cooked. It's beyond a joke. And it's not getting any better. I'm pretty much ready to move to Italy lol. Or just be a nomad with a van lol, this ain't living.

I think she didn't like me because North and I used to have good banter going and I don't think she liked it. Or maybe I'm getting her confused with someone else. I know there was a chick with sexy or legs or sexy legs or some sht in her name lol she wasn't feeling my presence at all.

If it's the user who had the avatar of her legs sitting at a desk or something with her feet kicked up, I don't think that was Tarshi. If I remember correctly, it might have been fantasyfangrl (?) or someone else. Maybe someone who also dates back to the good old days can help me out here with this one.

I had no idea that the cost of living had skyrocketed out of control like that. I was, however, familiar with Australia's status as a Western country in Asia drawing tons of immigrants from South and East Asia.

I would love to decamp for Down Under for a couple of years. Maybe an improvement in economic conditions might spur an uptick in black male migration to Australia?

Ok, I have a question for those who graduated from college:

Have you ever had to study in your car? I asked since when I returned to CA, I plan on going to college & train at this Taekwondo School I plan on joining. I'm pretty sure you all heard of the California traffic, so after class I plan to leave the college & head onto the Taekwondo school. So I was wondering if anyone ever had to study in their car? How was it for you?

The easier question would be 'where didn't I study?' LOL. I've studied in my car, on the bus, on the train, standing in line at the DMV, wherever I could get more than five minutes to focus. The car is actually one of the better locations, because you have control over the venue for the most part. You can (usually) decide when to move, you have a sure seat and have more control over the ambience/atmosphere/temperature/noise level/etc. The key for me was to always look for a place in the shade where you could crack the windows and get a nice breeze, because it can get too humid really quickly. My only challenge with studying in the car was staying awake if I hadn't had a good night's sleep, because if I had not, I was also tempted to let the seat down and take a power nap.

Unfortunately not, the only people they let stay in this country are of Asian descent. Unless of course you have the sourced after degrees or ability to be sponsored if you're under 30.

Glad to help. Are you in classes now, on the quarterly system, or taking classes during summer session?
