    DC is bringing back the Power Company with a new lineup, starting with a two-part prelude in DC’s 2025 Black History Month anthology, DC Power: Rise of the Power Company, which will be released on January 29, and following that up with a one-shot, The Power Company: Recharged, slated for April 30.

    DC Power: Rise of the Power Company will include “Company Man,” by Black Lightning writer Brandon Thomas and artists Charles Stewart III, Anthony Fowler Jr., and Ulises Arreola, a two-part story in which Josiah Power, an attorney, metahuman, and leader of the original Power Company, decides to recruit a new team, starting with Black Lightning. (Power makes a brief appearance in Black Lightning #3, which goes on sale on January 15, 2025).

    Other stories in the anthology include:

    • “Ring of Power,” by writer Zipporah Smith and artists Kelsey Ramsay and Francesco Segala;
    • “Unfinished Business,” by writer John Jennings and artists Caanan White, Atagun Ilhan, and Andrew Dalhouse; and
    • “Dynamic Duo,” by writer Vita Ayala and artists Ray-Anthony Height and Chris Sotomayor.

    The Power Company: Recharged, a DC All In one-shot by writer Bryan Edward Hill and artists Khary Randolph and Alitha Martinez, pits the new team, which includes not only Black Lightning but also Batman/Jace Fox, The Signal, and Vixen, against a serial killer who is preying on metahumans. The main cover is by Edwin Galmon, with variants by Ryan Benjamin, Sanford Greene, and Paris Alleyne.

    Created by Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett, the Power Company debuted in JLA #61 in 2002 and then got its series in 2002-2003.

    The first trailer for The Witcher: Sirens of The Deep.

    Sirens of the Deep is based on Witcher creator Andrzej Sapkowski's short story "A Little Sacrifice," included in his Sword of Destiny collection. Sapkowski actually served as a creative consultant for the film to help expand the story for a full movie and flesh out the merpeople lore.

    Outside of Jim Lee's art, I wasn't really impressed with the Hush story back when it came out. If I pick up this Hush go round it will once again be for the Lee art.
