I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I'm not. This is like one of those championship games when the better team makes too many mistakes and the other team takes advantage to win. Biden should have dropped out a year ago. They should have had a full primary and run a middle-of-the-road pro-border security, Israel-critical candidate. Or at least they should have run Kamala through a process that made the people feel like they chose her, instead of her being chosen for us.

Some people are going to see this defeat as a rebuke of the idea of a black female president, I don't agree with that. I think we could easily have a black/minority female president, but it's going to have to happen organically like Obama, not installed by party leaders, and pushed through the back door.

The thing a lot of people forget about Obama, was that he was not the Democratic party's DEI candidate when he was nominated. Before Obama even announced that he was running, the DNC was ready to install Hillary as their barrier-breaking candidate. Obama however, overcame the DNC machine and made himself the best candidate for the job despite his demographics. The key to his success was the full primary season when the American people got to know him and see how he handled himself after victories and setbacks. In my opinion pushing the Black/Asian woman thing against a guy like Trump was a bad call, independent white guys needed a reason to identify with Kamala, they needed to "overcome" her gender and race and find a reason to see her as presidential. When Obama ran in 2008 he smartly acknowledged his groundbreaking campaign but he didn't let them put him in the "black candidate" box. He made sure his campaign transitioned all of that identity stuff.

I agree with everything you said. The lack of a primary really hurt, especially since she was largely invisible as VP. Despite having been there for four years it felt like she came out of nowhere.

In my last year of grad school in '08 me and some classmates/friends of mine volunteered for the Obama campaign at the local level. One thing that he did was spend a lot of time making himself known to people by the time he got the nomination. He also had an especially well run political machine at all levels, which I think helped too.

Unfortunately I don't believe that elections will even exist anymore in 2028. This may have been the very last we'll ever see in our country's history.

I saw Kelly interviewed on Fox News last week. Very cordial interview. But l think Shapiro will be his nemesis. And what about CA Gov, Cary Grant? Pelosi is surely sharpening her fangs to get her blood relative in the WH.

Governor Newsome will surely be one of the favorites but he will suffer from the same anti-California leftist backlash that Harris has. He can duke it out with Governor Shapiro and the Maryland Governor in 2028 but I'm putting my money on Senator Mark Kelly for the top of the ticket. Shapiro should be seasoned enough by then to serve as VP. I thought he was too green for the slot this summer honestly. Whoever gets the nomination I can assure you . . . the moderate middle will be mandatory.

I love that prop 36 passed in LA, and Soros annointed Gascon is gone. Finally!

IDK if you ever watched GUTFELD! but his show tonight was hilarious. I know Fox replay it at like 3am EST. Best show yet.

Whitmer as well will be in the running but yeah I don't think Dems pick a Women in 2028.

Shapiro really depends on how this whole Palestine Israel situation gets resolved.

Shapiro also has that murder case he covered up for a mensch and fought the family of the victim to classify it as a SUICIDE. How do you stab yourself over seven times in the back of your neck?!? Fortunately the family was eventually able to appeal his decision to the PA Supreme Court and get the case reclassified as a homicide and the criminal investigation can move forward. Josh Shapiro looks to have dirty hands on this matter and time will tell how it all works out. The woman was the former paramour of Josh Shapiro's business associate.

Yeah that is another issue for Shapiro as well.

The Dems do have an interesting enough roster

I am watching "Fox and Friends" this post election Saturday morning and the have the Kamala Harris Finance Chair on. She is giving up tapes on the inside dysfunction and disinformation of the last few months lol. Her name is LINDY LI and she is an Asian-American multi-millionaire. You have to find her interview with Will Cain on YouTube:

VP Harris' CORONATION was an epic diaster,' says DNC Official

I wish I could post it here but long story short . . . she said she feels misled because she doesn't have sufficient answers for all the mega donors that entrusted her with their vast wealth that amounted to > $1 BILLION DOLLARS. The Obama's never wanted Kamala she says . . . they waited several days to endorse her for a reason. They wanted an open DNC convention rather than the coronation we received in August. She say they really wanted Senator Mark Kelly to run against Donald Trump but the Harris faction of the party REJECTED him . . .

She was asking the Harris campaign people were they sure they were going to win even as election night was ongoing and they reassured her that her efforts had not been in vain. She emphasized that Barack & Michelle Obama didn't truly believe that Kamala Harris was strong enough a candidate to win the White House . . . which is why they were so hesitant initially . . . the name she kept hearing again and again this summer from Obama-world was Senator Mark Kelly. This was the "Red Wedding" for the DNC establishment and the Kamala Harris campaign she feels . . . never in her life has she been involving such a catastrophic failure!!

Nevada just called it for Trump.
Clean sweep of all 5 swing States. ( and Iowa). Good thing you're not a pollster. ;)

The New York Times - Sienna College poll really got Nevada wrong as did Jon Ralston of The Last Vegas Review Journal though he really hedged his bets by effectively calling it a the with Harris having a half pond lead in his final poll

Trump has never N-E-V-E-R ever won the Silver State before. This election just wasn't meant to be lol. With abortion on the ballot and NV being the only state with legalized prostitution one would think that those Working Women wanted healthcare options especially as NV is a union state so all those Brothels are union shops lol. Make it make sense that they want to become Oklahoma now?!? This just wasn't meant to be I have to believe;)
