This is a good show. It's what I was hoping Gotham was going to be. But, it went a more lightweight, family friendly direction. Milioti is so sexy to me. Even though I knw she's just aiight. Talented, competent women have always caught my attention. And, she's definitely killing this role.

Dune: Prophecy takes place 10,000 years before Paul Atreides' rise to power. The series follows two sisters from House Harkonnen as they face challenges that endanger the future of humanity and lay the groundwork for the Bene Gesserit order.

The six-episode series premieres in November.

I was recently made aware of a controversy surrounding the casting of John Stewart in an HBO Green Lantern show. Some people are upset that he isn't dark-skinned. I myself was a little apprehensive about the casting but I'm unsure if it's colorism or something else about him.

No matter who was cast for the role there was always going to be a contingent of folks not happy about it for one reason or another. Not dark enough or too dark. Not tall enough or too tall. Not muscular enough or too muscular. Non American actor playing an American character. Not an accomplished enough actor or too accomplished.

There seems to be more than the usual amount of irritation with this casting. I've seen at least 7 separate black-run YouTube channels making videos about it.

Sign of the times. More likely than not its people who aren't actual comic book readers/fans because everything entertainment wise in regards to something surrounding black folks gets seen through the lens of being some kind of social commentary about us.

Marvel Comics has announced that their next ongoing Ultimate comic will be Ultimate Wolverine, launching January 15, 2025.

The series will be written by Chris Condon and drawn by Alessandro Cappuccio. It joins previous Ultimate titles, including Ultimate Spider-Man, Ultimate Black Panther, and Ultimate X-Men as well as Ultimates.

The Ultimate Wolverine character is described as "an unwilling agent of the Maker, the secret creator of this corrupt universe." Condon teased, "You might notice that there’s a Red Star on his costume and you might wonder why. If you look at that mask, there’s a muzzle on him and that’s because he’s wild.”

The creative team will also provide a prelude story in the one-shot Ultimate Universe: One Year In, due out December 11. That special issue will wrap up the first year of Marvel's Ultimate Universe and set up stories for 2025.
