Something another poster in another thread got me to thinking.

How much taller/shorter does a man have to be for you to date him?

I hear a lot of girls say that they would def NEVER date a man shorter than they are. Fair enough.

But how much taller does he have to be than you? 1 inches? 5 inches? Does it really matter?

And would you ever consider dating a guy (dum-dum-daaaaaaaaaaaaa) shorter than yourself?

Take me, I dated a girl who was 6"2. She was almost 3inches taller than me. And that measurement was barefoot. So you can imagine with heels. I'm pretty muscular, so for some reason I didn't mind it as much (I would were I skinny, lol).

I'm 5'3". I've never dated a guy shorter than me. But, I did briefly date a guy who was about an inch taller than myself.

Height doesn't matter to me. For me, it's more about his personality and his maturity level.

I wouldn't ever say "I'd NEVER date a guy who is shorter than me" because I feel like that would limit my choices quite a bit. Plus, I've met some pretty incredible short guys. I mean, my dream guy would be taller than me, but that's because my dream guy is Will Smith. haha. I guess what I'm trying to say is that yeah, it would be nice, but it doesn't mean that I wouldn't be completely happy with a shorter guy.

Haha same height. I'm 5'3 as well. I want a man to be taller than me which is not a big issue though since I'm so short. And not taller than 6'3. Well if the chemistry was right I would still take him but my preference is clearly between 5'4 and 6'3

Personally I prefer taller dudes.. Ima tall female.. Well almost 5'9.. Girly I like heels.. I don't wanna have to worry if I'm going to
make him uncomfortable by wearing them..

The shortest dude I've had anything serious with was 5'10.. The tallest 6'7...

To me taller dudes just have a certain cocky swagger that I like :).

very true.. but i know a lot of guys that are shorter that are almost cockier as if to make up for their height difference. to me, shorter guys are sometimes cuter because they try harder to win over the girl.

I'm 5'10-5'11. I always went for super tall men - between 6'0 and 6'3 usually, although 6'6 in one instance. Current man is just my height though (and smaller if I'm in my heels). He doesn't care though, he prefers to see my legs look long and slimmer in high heels  and coudln't give a damn if he looks shorter...and neither do I!

I'll just say as a shorter man...you have got to be cockier. Because you're always trying to show while he's taller, I'M TOUGHER.

I hate to use comic characters...but Wolverine from the X-MEN listed as only 5'3-5'4 could take anyone down, and had a heart of gold. Cyclops 6'3...no where near the same fighter, and bit of a jerk.

When you're you try harder to impress. You do. Because you're competing with that...but look at it this way..WE'RE MORE FLEXIBLE.

you don't have to be cockier - you choose to be. i've met alot of really short people who were way on the obnoxious side, b/c they had this arrogance about them. short people (men, especially) should not feel inferior....you just accept that you can't change your height and move on. people can't help how tall or short they are, but you can sure as hell determine your attitude. i have yet to meet a woman who likes a man who's full of himself or is super cocky.

    in my opinion....it's a TOTAL TURN.OFF!!
