Marijuana is still illegal in the majority of jurisdictions, and it's still scheduled at the federal level. But a lot of municipalities within states don't even bother enforcing those laws if the person has a small amount of marijuana. Years ago here, it wasn't strange to see people charged with misdemeanors for marijuana possession for even the smallest amount. Fast forward a decade or so, and having a small amount of weed gets you a citation that you can come to court and pay off, with little criminal consequences. Our local sheriff's office is over it at this point.

Luckily he's rich, and money can really insulate a person from the consequences of stupidity, because carrying weed at an airport is really, really fucking stupid. Bruh, you're a millionaire! And if he was traveling domestically, he can buy weed pretty much anywhere in the country. He'll most likely end up with probation or some kind of deferred sentence (if Texas even does those). If he doesn't have any other prior convictions, he'll probably be fine.

That's the saddest part. This is the absolute worst time to be an American citizen who runs afoul of Russian laws.

Well, the alternative is the Draft, (like we had before), and still currently mandated in 90% of the world's countries.

$10,000 in student loan forgiveness will have no impact on people joining the military. Conservatives love hyperbole. Again, this is the richest country in the world and our military budget is approaching 1 trillion dollars ANNUALY.

Most of Europe can afford to pay for higher public education be we can't? GTFOH.

This is why I love how the White House twitter account is calling out all of the Republicans who had the entirety of their PPP loans forgiven while wringing their hands over "middle America" having to foot the bill over a small portion of student loan debt being forgiven.

For some reason, they didn't have that same energy when they were getting free money from the government during the pandemic to keep their "businesses" solvent. They were so quiet about the same taxpayers paying for those loans, you could hear a mouse fart.
