Chris Claremont & Salvador Larroca Are Back on New Limited Series

Marvel Comics has announced that Chris Claremont and Salvador Larroca will team up again to work on a five-issue X-Treme X-Men limited series, which kicks off on November 30, 2022.

This new limited series picks up from the final issue of X-Treme X-Men, published in 2013. In the new story arc, Kitty Pryde is hit with a powerful psychic attack by Ogun that sends the X-Treme team off on a high-stakes mission to figure out what secrets is Ogun hiding from them.

“It’s been a long time and I’ve missed this team and this book that I consider a child of mine," said Larroca about being back on this series. "I hope fans enjoy what we’re doing with this new run--there are lots of new histories to tell. This is the book that Chris Claremont fans have been waiting for and I’m proud to once again illustrate his awesome plots.”

The first issue will feature a cover by Larroca. There will also be variant covers available through a new variant cover program launched alongside this title.

It was okay. It reminded me a bit of the late 90's movie Deep Rising (similar type monster & ending).

I just read online that the creature was supposed to be loosely linked to the Cthulhu Mythos. I had no idea when I saw the movie, although I usually think that whenever I see anything with tentacles on its head.

Saw, “Nope,” today. Really enjoyed it. Peele is a lot more talented than we think.

I actually have the first issue of this … somewhere. I got it when I was in the second or third grade way back in the 70’s. I remember thinking how cool he was because he was “real.” … lol

I kinda’ forgot about him pretty soon after issue one. I don’t remember much follow through on any of the daredevil, Evel Knevel, type stuff that interested me in the character in the first place. If they had done more stunts, it actually could have worked. As a child, for a brief period of time, I was really enthralled with him. If they had been able to do more with the character, build some kind of momentum and keep it going for a while longer, they could’ve made a ton with action figures and other merchandising. I could see my dumb ass, as a kid, begging for a Human Fly action figure and tickets to the Human Fly live stunt show. …lol

I had one issue of the comic back in the day. The one where he's hang off a rope that's attached to a blimp. The reason I even picked it up was the comic book suit design was good & with that "pimp cane" I thought he's got to be black under that mask. Go figure. o_O Being that he wasn't black & didn't fight any actual super villains in the comics, of course I didn't bother with any follow up as well.

I wonder if Marvel/Disney still has any license/trademark over the character because I could see them doing some type of present day take with this. Do some type of Disneyland/Disneyworld Human Fly stage attraction with someone in a more comic accurate version of the suit doing acrobatics/parkour/martial arts demonstrations. Set it up like a super hero stage show where he's fighting some villain & his hench men. Give out new exclusive Human Fly comics for everyone attending the shows and maybe even do a limited series Marvel comic with the Human Fly actually going up against a real Marvel street level villain (low level one of course).

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Official Trailer (Studio Trigger Version)

The series follows David, a street kid trying to eke out a living in the body modification-obsessed metropolis of Night City. After crossing paths with Lucy, an elusive hacker, David chooses to pursue a life as an “edge runner” — an outlaw mercenary-for-hire willing to go toe-to-toe with the city’s most notorious cyber-psychos and criminals in his quest to become a so-called legend.
