Jonathan is very private about his personal life, i think tabloids don't have pictures with his daughter or his ex-partner but he said that his kid is mixed race i believe his ex is a WW.

The impact of the Kardashians on popular culture should never be underestimated. IMO they've done more to integrate American society almost as much as MLK.

IR relationships increased once cultures integrated and exposure through media, et al, increased...waaay before the Kardashians.

 

Bliss you're correct, but I do agree with Boba that the Kardashians helped normalized it.

 

They may have helped normalize it, but I wonder if their conduct and the constant flux of their personal lives perpetuates or is used to perpetuate the stereotype that IR is somehow bizarre or abnormal.

 

I think the lesson from the Kardashians is WW shouldn't pursue exclusively Black male athletes/celebs as marriage partners.

Men with too many options don't make good husbands, unfortunately.

 

This right here! I think any good they did (and they did do some good!) has been outweighed by the "cautionary tale" their failed relationships can look like to people looking for reasons to explain away their bs.

What would help is if at least one of them had been in a healthy relationship that lasted. The closest I've seen was Heidi Klum and Seal, but we know how that ended. It's almost as if people shouldn't try gleaning these types of lessons from celebrity couples lol.
