    Masters of the Universe: Revolution

Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Kevin Smith’s successor to the cult 1983–1985 animated series He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, is getting a second season.

Masters of the Universe: Revolution is described as the next epic chapter in the battle for Eternia. It is a standalone story that takes place after the events in Revelation. Masters of the Universe: Revolution is an all-new story that brings the focus to He-Man vs. Skeletor “as you’ve never seen them before,” per Netflix. It’s technology versus magic as He-Man and the heroic warriors face the forces of Skeletor and a deadly threat to the Planet.

Prime Video Renewed The Boys For Season Four

A week after the Season 3 premiere of The Boys, Prime Video has ordered a fourth season of the Emmy-nominated superhero series, from Sony Pictures TV and Amazon Studios.

Eric Kripke’s adaptation of the bestselling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson was a breakout hit when it launched in 2019. However, like most of its counterparts, Prime Video does not release rating information for its shows. While that is still the case, Amazon has shared data on the growth in viewers for the first three episodes of each season over their first three days of release.

THE OLD GUARD 2 Adds KILL BILL Star Uma Thurman And SNAKE EYES Actor Henry Golding

Netflix's adaptation of Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernandez's comic series The Old Guard proved to be one of the streamer's most popular original movies when it debuted back in 2020, and the planned sequel has now added a couple of major names to its cast.

THR reports that Uma Thurman (Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction) and Henry Golding (Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins) have signed on in supporting roles (no details on their characters were provided). Charlize Theron is set to return as Andromache of Scythia, along with KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, Veronica Ngo and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

The first film focused on a group of immortal warriors led by Theron's Andy, who do their best to make the world a safer place as mercenaries for hire. No plot details for the sequel have been released, but the ending of the original certainly left the story open to continue.

Netflix Announces Video Games Tied to its Popular Shows

At its annual Geeked Week event, Netflix announced a slew of new titles coming to its gaming service this year. A few of the new games are tied to some of Netflix’s most popular TV shows, including “The Queen’s Gambit,” “Shadow and Bone,” and “Too Hot To Handle.” The streaming service currently has 22 games available and plans to have 50 titles by the end of this year, some of which it announced today.

Netflix launched its gaming service in November 2021 and has been adding new games to its catalog every month. Currently, the titles are free to play and don’t include any in-app purchases. The company sees games as a means of growing and maintaining its existing subscriber base.

To access the titles on Android, you need to tap on the new Games tab in the Netflix app for Android where the games are listed. After selecting a title, users are directed to the Google Play Store to install the games, as you would any other app. Once the games are downloaded, they are available to play at any time by tapping them within the Netflix app or on the home screen of an Android device.

For iOS, Netflix uses a similar system where users are directed to Apple’s App Store for downloads. The games will also require users to authenticate with their Netflix membership information in order to begin playing

Any self proclaimed comic book "fans" who were upset by the announcement of Death of the Justice League and thinking that any status quo changes resulting would be permanent, stop reading comics already because.....

The finale of Dark Crisis #1 reveals the members of the Justice League are trapped in a cosmic prison, following the team's defeat at the hands of Pariah.

The last pages of Dark Crisis #1 show Pariah standing amid the rubble of the battlefield where he faced off against Earth's finest heroes in Justice League #75. The climax of that issue ended with Pariah's mind-controlled troops -- which included the likes of Darkseid and the Spectre and were all corrupted by the primordial Great Darkness -- killing the League one by one. Pariah's final burst of anti-matter energy vaporized Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman, their deaths mirroring the demise of Barry Allen in the classic Crisis on Infinite Earths #8.

In spite of these events, Dark Crisis #1 reveals that DC's Trinity and the other members of the League are much more alive than the crowds mourning them on Earth believe. They appear to be stuck in alternate realities, and Pariah taunts that he plans to "use the deaths of the Justice League to destroy the Multiverse."

Justin Lin to Direct Live Action ‘One Punch Man’ for Sony

Justin Lin, the filmmaker behind half of the nitrous oxide-fueled Fast and Furious movies, is revving up with another franchise. The filmmaker is in talks to direct an adaptation of the popular Japanese property One Punch Man for Sony.

Lin’s hiring comes weeks after the director’s high profile exit from Universal’s Fast X, which saw an unusual situation unfold in which the director voluntarily exited a shoot already in production. Lin is best known for helming five Fast movies, beginning with the third installment, Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift (2006) and including last summer’s F9.

One Punch Man began life in 2009 as a web comic and centers on a superhero named Saitama. He has the power to defeat any foe with a single punch, but soon he grows bored and seeks out a bigger challenge. The web comic from the artist known as ONE moved to publisher Jump Next in 2012 and saw ONE team with artist Yusuke Murata. As it rose to prominence, it was adapted as an anime and video game.

Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner, the duo known for Jumanji: The Next Level and Venom, penned the latest script. Ari Arad of Arad Productions will produce the film adaptation.

Tim Sale, Batman: The Long Halloween Artist, Dies

Legendary comic book artist Tim Sale has died at age 66.

“Tim Sale was an incredible artist, whose take on iconic characters had real human depth, and his groundbreaking page designs changed the way an entire generation thinks about comic book storytelling,” DC Comics tweeted on Thursday, confirming his passing.

“Our condolences go to Tim’s family and friends. He will be deeply missed.”

Sale — who worked on popular comics featuring Batman, The Hulk, Spider-Man and Superman — had apparently been admitted to a hospital earlier in the week with “severe health issues,” according to DC executive Jim Lee.

His cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
