Yes. _______________________________________________________________________________________ "Young Justice: Phantoms" - Mid-Season Trailer - HBO Max
Perhaps I am mistaken but haven't you yourself discouraged discussions of social, political and racial issues in this thread (although often from a different viewpoint) because you didn't want such talk getting in the way of the fun?
No. I discourage negative agenda bait derailment of this & any other threads. Such as the anti-black or anti women "debates" that certain individuals engage in to cover up the fact they don't have anything substantial to add to thread topics. Real curious that you pop in here and this is what you want to try to call me out on.
Universal has unveiled the first official trailer for Jordan Peele's new film titled simply Nope, which seems to be a sci-fi thriller involving an extraterrestrial appearance in a small town.
I don't consider it a spoiler since it's in the trailer............that was clearly Patrick Stewart (Prof X) talking, which means the rumors of the MCU Illuminati seems substantiated.
Not curious at all. Like with a few other threads I pop in here from time to time to catch up with what's going on without responding. The last time I posted in here there was some discussion going on in which I barely participated with a single post or so. I don't recall the actual content anymore but I don't think it was anything that could be considered "anti-black" or "anti-woman". I certainly didn't make any remarks of that nature. I do know it must have been a somewhat serious topic about black representation for me to write something because as I pointed out before I don't post thoughts in this or the vast majority of threads on this page. The thing that I remember the most was you (or at least I thought it was you) interjecting and pretty much telling people to take the discussion somewhere else because you didn't intend for the thread to be bogged down with such talk. And that was that. The discussion ended. Everyone respected your wishes and rolled out, including myself. I told myself that you probably only wanted a certain type of discourse in this thread and while I may not have agreed with that I abided by it nonetheless.
Smooth brain people are comment bombing this trailer on Youtube. I have no idea if this show is going to be good or not, but the childish toxicity of "fans" is tiresome.
The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim Anime Feature “The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim” — the original anime feature from New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Animation — is set for release on April 12, 2024, from Warner Bros. Pictures. Warner Bros.’ movement on the anime “Lord of the Rings” film comes at a time when the studio is in a dispute with the Saul Zaentz Co., the longtime owner of “LOTR” film and TV rights, over whether Warner Bros. has done enough development on the franchise to maintain its hold on live-action and animated film rights. Zaentz Co. is putting its Tolkien holdings on the block, which spurred questions about “LOTR” activity within Warner Bros. Set roughly two centuries before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings,” “The War of the Rohirrim” will explore the exploits of Helm Hammerhand, the King of Rohan, and the creation of Helm’s Deep, the stronghold featured in Peter Jackson’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.” “The War of the Rohirrim” is totally separate from Amazon Prime Video’s Middle-earth series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” which is set millennia before the events of Jackson’s movies. Paramount+ Renews Halo Series For Season 2 The live-action Halo show on Paramount Plus has been renewed for a second season, just over a month before the first season is set to premiere. According to a press release, David Wiener (who’s worked on shows like Fear the Walking Dead, Homecoming, and Brave New World) will act as showrunner and executive producer for the second season. The news was announced during an investor event, where ViacomCBS also said that it’s rebranding as Paramount as part of its focus on streaming. [via The Verge]
Hatemongers and bigots are working themselves up into a frenzy in the hopes of derailing the series, but they will fail, as they always do, and look foolish in the end.
HBO Max Renews Peacemaker The DC Comics adaptation “Peacemaker” has been renewed for Season 2 on HBO Max, executive producer James Gunn and star John Cena announced on Wednesday. The announcement comes the day before the Season 1 finale of the show, which continues the story of Cena’s titular costume vigilante from Gunn’s 2021 feature film “The Suicide Squad.” Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Chukwudi Iwuji, Jennifer Holland and Steve Agee played the members of the motley crew of operatives tasked to help Peacemaker repel an alien invasion. Gunn wrote all eight episodes of the first season and directed five, along with Jody Hill, Rosemary Rodriguez, and Brad Anderson, who each directed one. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller executive produced, with Cena as co-executive producer and Stacy Littlejohn as consulting producer. “The brilliance of James Gunn once again shines with ‘Peacemaker,'” Sarah Aubrey, head of original content at HBO Max, said in a statement. “He took this character, brought to life by the inimitable John Cena, and created an exceptional series that’s simultaneously thrilling, hilarious, and heartfelt, showcasing the humanity beneath this team of misfits living in a superhuman world. As the first original DC show to have its series premiere on HBO Max, we are thrilled that the viewers agreed to give peace a f—ing chance.” It is difficult to parse just how popular “Peacemaker” has been during its eight-episode run — HBO Max does not release viewership data and Nielsen doesn’t yet measure HBO Max — but there have been some tentative signs that the show has been a major hit for the streamer. Parrot Analytics reported that the show was 69.5 times more in demand than the average series, according to Business Insider. And the show cracked Reelgood’s Top 10 streaming titles twice in January. Netflix revealed early Thursday that Stranger Things will end with a newly announced fifth season. The streamer also set a release date strategy for its long-awaited fourth season and hinted that an all-new Stranger Things series could be in the works. “Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things,” creators Matt and Ross Duffer wrote in an open letter to fans. “At the time, we predicted the story would last four to five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four but — as you’ll see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale.” Netflix announced the premiere date for the 1980s-set sci-fi drama’s fourth season, which is being split into two parts. “Volume 1” of season four will debut on May 27 (a whopping three years since season three aired). The second half of the fourth season, Volume 2, will debut on July 1. It’s unusual for Netflix to slightly stagger the release of a single season of a drama series rather than doing its usual all-episodes-at-once drop strategy, and the Duffer Brothers elaborated on the decision. “It’s been a little while,” they wrote. “With nine scripts, over eight hundred pages, almost two years of filming, thousands of visual effects shots and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one. Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Given the unprecedented length, and to get it to you as soon as possible, Season 4 will be released in two volumes.” The season’s marketing tagline: “Every ending has a beginning.”
