Yes lol a coworker told me this . . . though I didn't remember it outside of Halloween #4. I'm here to tell you . . . I do have a problem with it lol. Sometimes what doesn't fit . . . just doesn't sit right with me regardless of the author/producer. It is like on "Game of Thrones" where GRRM had Ser Gregor Clegane ~ The Mountain . . . scale the exterior of the Red Keep with climbing spikes at nearly 700 pounds . . . never had any prior climbing accomplishments or such feats of freakish agility . . not a small boy like Bran Stark who had been climbing since 4 or 5 probably (I know I did at that age easily climb trees but lost my squirrel ability by 10) Whether it is John Carpenter or George RR Martin . . . if it doesn't fit then . . . I just cannot get past it lol @darkcurry ~ Didn't you have an issue with Michael Myers stealing a car and successfully driving to Haddonfield, IL? I'm sure at eight years old in the 1980's or 1970's being locked up in a mental ward for 16 years is not conducive to being able to successfully operate a strange car and then reach your destination right? Didn't you have an issue with the Mountain scaling the exterior of the Red Keep to gain access to the royal apartments of Princess Elia and her children . . . the man is MONSTROUSLY MASSIVE and has never been know to climb anything before or since?!?
^^^ I can not front lol . . . all this circumspection about the original John Carpenter & Moustapha Akkad "Halloween" has motivated me to place an Amazon Prime order for the just released Ultra Hi-Def 4k Blu-,Ray disc which is on sale for $10 off. It is supposedly 4K Ultra Hi-Def remastered from the originals of 1978 and on a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. I wasn't even going to get it but dammit lol I just ordered it and the new release of "Halloween #4" on Ultra Hi-Def 4k remastered disc. I almost ordered the Blu-Ray of "Black Christmas" but thought better of it since I can stream it for free practically on Prime Video with the best sound effects via my Sony 4k UHD player with it's DSEE. If you have NEVER seen the original Bob Clarke "Black Christmas" then please do so as its free on Prime Video and extremely underrated . . . it even predates John Carpenter's "Halloween" by four years and is of the same caliber in my educated assessment
Marvel's Hit- Monkey: After a Japanese snow monkey’s tribe is slaughtered, he joins forces with the ghost of an American assassin, and together, they begin killing their way through the Yakuza underworld.
Sony Pictures Entertainment and PlayStation have released the first official trailer for their upcoming Uncharted movie. Based on the video game series, Uncharted tells the story of Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) his first adventure with rival-turned-partner Victor Sullivan (Mark Wahlberg).
In spite of the bad casting, two big-box box office draws hold promise. To be honest, I'd only pay matinée prices to see it.
You're forgetting that this is a horror movie and Michael Myers was supposed to be possessed or the living incarnation of evil. So we can't correlate these things into our reality.
10 points for the trailer editing innovation and creativity. Like with The Macbeth trailer I hope we get to see more creativity in selling these shows and movies in the trailer.
Prime Video has released a new promo for The Wheel of Time based on Robert Jordan's high fantasy series.
Here's the official new poster for the Hawkeye Disney+ series starring Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld as Clint Barton/Hawkeye and Kate Bishop.
IGN.com just put out this clip explaining the "Halloween" film franchise timeline & they confirm these new retcon films ignore "Halloween II":
Taking a half day at work to see 'Dune' tomorrow/later today. Full, spoiler-free report upon my return.
That was one of the best ones in the entire franchise. I get it and I'am on board of certain stories being re-told within a different timeline or universe but there was clearly an agenda with this film. I heard some mention that it was about natural selection.
What do y'all consider the best season of "American Horror Story"? I'm currently watching season 3 "Coven" & this seems like the best season of the 5 seasons I've watched so far. I've previously watched season 2 "Asylum", Season 1, Season 9 "1984", & Season 6 "Roanoke".
Aquaman's James Wan Was Secretly Working on a Black Manta Movie https://gizmodo.com/aquamans-james-...gZq-49rn1QygnpMT8M2Gt38febsKQ2r4kP71iZhh9KocM We all thought the news was too weird to be true and, apparently, it was. Back in early 2019, we found out that hot on the heels of James Wan’s DC film Aquaman making a big box office splash (get it?), Warner Bros. was developing a smaller-scale, horror spinoff based on the creatures who appeared during its underwater trench sequence. The idea was so specific and weird but seemed like the perfect avenue for the director of Saw, Insidious, and Malignant to make a cool superhero horror movie. Alas, the Trench movie was canceled earlier this year but... we now seemingly know the truth: it was never destined to happen. Last week, Wan posted a shot of Black Manta’s (played by The Matrix Resurrections’ new Morpheus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) shiny helmet on his Instagram to highlight the costume and production work on the sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It wasn’t until sometime after that the director revealed something fairly shocking: the Trench movie was never a real thing; instead, it was code for a Black Manta movie. Check out the comment, which I took a screenshot of from Instagram on my phone. Screenshot: Instagram/Germain Lussier for io9 Wan, who goes by “CreepyPuppet” on Instagram, was replying to a fan who asked if he’d do a Black Manta streaming series (presumably HBO Max, where lots of things are happening these days). Wan didn’t answer directly, instead deciding to say, “I’ll let you in on a secret, the canceled Trench spin-off movie was really going to be a secret Black Manta movie.” io9 has reached out to Warner Bros. for confirmation or clarification on this news and will update the piece when or if that happens. In Aquaman, as well as the upcoming Lost Kingdom, Manta is played by Abdul-Mateen. The first film saw him as almost a mini-boss, nothing but a pawn in Orm’s (Patrick Wilson) scheme. But in the film’s end credit scene, Manta is rescued by a marine biologist who agrees to help him defeat Aquaman in exchange for information on Atlantis. These are events that we’ll probably see in the sequel film or, maybe, were going to happen in this spinoff. No matter the case, the most interesting part of this story is the need for Wan and Warner Bros. to, apparently, concoct a fake idea to cover up the real one. Was the Trench movie going to become a Black Manta movie in the middle of it? Or was the studio going to reveal the ruse before release? We don’t know for sure. Honestly, neither makes a lot of sense but it’s certainly a fun and fascinating “what if.” We’ll next see Abdul-Mateen in The Matrix Resurrections which opens December 22, and returning as Black Manta in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, coming out December 16, 2022.
