I mean he did get married multiple times...but I want the classic swashbuckling hero where he is hunting down bad guys, out shooting them and banging plenty of chicks. I don't want a standard Black Family Man.
I understand that perspective but I don't know if he would have lived as long in Reconstruction OK if he were running through the young Cindy Taylors of his time (imagine a 2003 rookie year Jesse Jane) It would be entertainment for sure but they would REALLY REALLY be out to kill him if he were bending over brown eyed brunettes and blue eyed blondes all over the territories lol.
Lionsgate has released the original 1995 Ghost in the Shell anime film exclusively to IMAX in the United States, Japan, and select markets. The film has been remastered in 4K resolution and formatted for IMAX screens.
I mean that doesn't make any sense lol Comics and TV/Movies rarely align like that. Movies and TV shows don't really impact comic sales these days. Its more Tim doesn't have anything unique as current Robin so they are throwing everything at the wall to make things stick. Dick is the first, gymnast and the best leader with the broadest DC Connections. Jason varies from Anti-Hero to Villain but basically works as the Darkest and Edgiest. Gets to use guns. Damian is a miniature Bruce. Genius and Martial Arts. Usually they try to make Tim the smart one in terms of tech, computers and/or detective work but Damian and Barbara are also geniuses so that doesn't really work. And everyone does some sort of investigative work. It also doesn't help that is hard to fit bat family member together when they compress the timeline in comics. Bruce aint really allowed to be older then mid 30s at best. So you end up with a lot of Robins and Batgirls trying to fit in like 15 years.
This. Tim Drake is the Bat Family's Wally West. In the same way DC has fucked over Wally West since they made the boneheaded decision to resurrect Barry Allen as the Flash, they have been basically doing the same with Tim Drake once they made Damian Wayne the current Robin. They make him "Red Robin", then killed him off for a bit. Then brought him back & eventually tried to give him a non Robin ID ala Dick Grayson & Jason Todd with that "Drake" identity they gave him in the most recent Young Justice run. (Good idea but shitty name & costume design) Now he's back to being a "Robin" & reveal as bisexual? WTF.
Also Red Robin is a terrible name its a Burger Joint in the Midwest lol. But yeah with Damian around Tim Drake and really his whole generation of characters are kinda stuck in bad place. Personally, if I was in charge of the Bat Brand. I delete Tim Drake if the idea is 15 years of history. I would have Bruce not picking up sidekicks post Red Hood. Until Damian and Cass Cain because they come in pre super trained and Damian is his son as well.
I'd keep Tim Drake around, but just not him ever being a Robin or directly connected with Bruce Wayne /Bat Family. Have him be a Gotham hero inspired the Bat Family without being part of it. That's my one big pet peeve about Batman related comics. Almost all the heroes that operate in Gotham have direct ties to Batman. Only tie Tim Drake should have with Batman is the fact that he was smart enough to figure out that Bruce Wayne is in fact Batman, but operates separate from the Bat Family. Same thing with Duke Thomas. He should be his own hero with his own motivations without direct ties to Batman IMO.
Honestly you could spinoff a side team lol but I think the issue is more DC comics is all in on Batman. Batman Related or Adjacent comics is ike 30 to 40 percent of the comics they publish. He is also the only product they can usually make work in movies and videogames. So while being part of Batman may have issues in universe, outside of universe its good business.
And that's the overall problem with DC & Warner Brothers (do they still own DC & its properties?). They has a whole universe/multiverse of characters to work with but they pull all of it into one character & adjacent characters. They might as well just officially neglect/destroy all the other properties and just make Batman their one & only property to promote/run their entertainment business endeavors on at this point. They clearly have no love or faith in any other properties being successful as Batman, even though there is more than enough proof that many other DC characters are just as popular/successful as Batman when done right.

Taking place on multiple continents, Invasion follows an extraterrestrial Invasion from differing perspectives.
That's the kind of Alien invasion stories I like to see, simultaneously showing big picture and individual stories. Between this Finch and Foundation Apple+ seems to be making a push to be the home for prestige Sci-Fi on streaming.
