I'll bet we get Sam as Cap for 2 movies (Captain America 4 and Avengers 5) and then they will find a way to bring classic Cap back in some form or another. Loki really opened the door for alternative (casting) of characters coming from the Multiverse. I wouldn't even be surprised if they recast the entire classic MCU Avengers lineup eventually.

What pisses me off about not recasting T'Challa is now they have a built in story way to do it easily but are still refusing to do it lol....we need to hope BP2 underperforms.

They need to stop with the clips. The movie will be out in a couple of weeks plus early reactions from the premiere screening have so far been positive. If folks aren't hyped to see this by now, no amount of clips being shown will get them to be.

I have a love/hate relationship with the clips. But I understand what you're saying.

I swear Marvel released a new teaser every hour the week leading up to the premiere of Black Widow. [IMG]

You see what they did with Eternals? Gave folks 2 teaser trailers to get folks curious then hit with that "Final" trailer that gives the who & the what that is going on with the movie. They don't need to put out any more trailers or clips for that movie. If that trailer didn't sell folks then nothing else they could put out about it will. Anything else is lessening the impact of scenes in the movie when folks go to see it.

    Black Canary Movie Project

Misha Green is reuniting with her Lovecraft Country co-star Jurnee Smollett for a DC movie project featuring heroine Black Canary, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The project, which is in early development at HBO Max, is a spinoff from Warner Bros.’s 2020 DC movie Birds of Prey which featured characters Harley Quinn, the Huntress, and Cassandra Cain. Also in the cast of heroes was Canary, played by Smollett.

Green will write the script for the feature, with Smollett due to reprise her role. Sur Kroll, who produced Prey, will produce Canary.

Prey was not a strong performer at the box office — it grossed only $201.8 million worldwide when released on Feb. 5, 2020 — but did generate fan interest and had actors who were game to play.

No take on the story was revealed, however, Canary is one of DC’s long-standing characters, having been created in the late 1940s. Since the 1960s, she has been associated mostly with Green Arrow and is known for her ear-splitting canary cry.

I learned to just past those up when they do that. But sometimes it can play out as a red flag on whether it's going to be good or not when they are being that excessive. I like some of the interesting promo spots that is stylized but only like 2. Like The Thanos "You could not live with your own failure" clip spot. Did so much but kept you guessing

In typical Marvel fashion, they posted another Shang-Chi teaser on YouTube today, mere hours after the previous one. LOL

I understand why Marvel is doing it with Shang-Chi considering it is now officially going to be their first in theater only release. But like I said in a previous post, it kills the impact of certain scenes in the movie, especially when they go overboard & show too much in teasers or clips.

I mean I do wonder how much of that is being a fan vs being a normie. It spoils for me because I can put together the pieces lol but yeah I think they do tend to show too much.

I think I’m the only one who just isn’t feeling this season of Titans. Seems like most people love it.

I think I’m turning into an old man who doesn’t like anything anymore. …lol

Nah I think not liking it is pretty common.

Its funny this show clearly has a budget but boy is the writing shit.

At least Stargirl seems to be written for a younger audience. This is written for older people and is still just dragged down by terrible writing and too large a cast to juggle correctly.

I agree mostly. But, the size of the cast isn’t the problem. Lot’s of genre shows have large casts and are still very good. It’s just that these writers don’t know wtf they’re doing..

In theory sure but I meant in practice these writers can clearly not juggle a larger cast.

I don't even think the actors are all that bad some are quite good lol on paper...the budget is clearly sufficient so this show being shit is mostly on the writing, directing and showrunning....

You'll note the bolded. Even when these feminist girl power movies flop, they still give us more. Where is this funding coming from?

Hate the non-binary "Black" Canary visual, too. Trying to make her more like Harley. Why does she need a baseball bat when she's got her sonic scream?

    Ugh

Netflix's "The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf" is bad-ass beyond words!!! Best movie I have seen on that streaming service all year!!!

The storytelling was so superb that I can hardly wait to watch it again to see what I may have missed. I don't even like Japanese Anime lol but this project was PRIMO!!!

This is why "Jupiter's Legacy" got canceled lol because its so cost effective and by comparison light years more entertaining than that over hyped project which was boring while drunk or sober . . . no matter when I watched it . . . it never came close to what I just witnessed
