Hope so. I mean they LOVED those characters. Time and circumstances always play a part in people's decision. So we will see how these things unfold.

returns on December 31.

 

I think they'd come back for a chance to be part of the proper MCU. Marvel is a career booster that nobody in Hollywood could really afford to walk away from.

 

We'll see I guess both on if they incorporate the Netflix characters into the MCU & if the actors reprise their roles if they do. The only character they should recast if they incorporate the Netflix characters into MCU is Iron Fist IMO. If no recasting for that character then keep him as a limited cameo character especially since Shang Chi is now being pushed as the martial arts character of the MCU.

Suicide Squad, Godzilla vs Kong, Matrix 4 & More Heading to HBO Max in 2021



WarnerMedia announced that it is releasing its entire 2021 film slate on HBO Max, which will include blockbuster films such as The Suicide Squad, Godzilla vs Kong, Matrix 4, Dune and much more.

The WarnerMedia films will be available for their first months on HBO Max while also viewing in theaters. Following the first month, each film will only be available in domestic and international theaters.

The full HBO Max 2021 movie lineup includes The Little Things, Judas and the Black Messiah, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, In The Heights, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Suicide Squad, Reminiscence, Malignant, Dune, The Many Saints of Newark, King Richard, Cry Macho and Matrix 4.

Damn Streaming Wars are no longer a Cold War. The War has gone Hot, and AT&T declares total war on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus and Apple TV.

This solves HBO Maxs content issue. They launched with jack shit and you cannot even blame the virus. They need D&D not to ruin Game of Thrones and had that sequel or prequel ready to go or Harry Potter show at Hogwarts ready for launch.

 

I would love to see the Netflix Marvel series saved if at all possible.

 

Disney+'s Hawkeye Casts a Marvel Villain and Two New Avengers




Jeremy Renner and Hailee Steinfeld's Hawkeye Marvel Cinematic Universe series for Disney+ has announced the addition of new cast members, including Vera Farmiga, Florence Pugh, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Alaqua Cox and Zahn McClarnon.

Farmiga will play Eleanor Bishop, the mother of Steinfeld's Kate Bishop; Fee plays a character named Kazi, who is possibly the Marvel villain named Kazimierz Kazimierczak, aka Clown; Dalton portrays Jack Duquesne, the Avenger known as Swordsman, who was a mentor to Hawkeye in the comics; Pugh will reprise her Black Widow role of Yelena Belova, the sister to Scarlett Johansson's titular character; Cox plays Maya Lopez, aka the Marvel hero Echo, who is a deaf Native American who can copy another fighter's movements; and McClarnon is William Lopez, who is most likely Echo's father, Willie "Crazy Horse" Lincoln.


There were rumors that Hawkeye was looking to cast a deaf and Native American, First Nation, Indigenous or Latinx actor for a mysterious role, with reports circling the debut of Echo.

Though Steinfeld has not officially been announced in the role of Kate Bishop, set videos show her alongside Renner's Clint Barton and Pizza Dog. Hi-res photos also reveal Kate Bishop's specific weapon of choice, which is a recurve bow. This is a stark contrast from the compound bow Clint uses in the MCU films. The actor added fuel to the fire with a recent social media post that included a bow-and-arrow emoji and featured an image evocative of the character from the comics. As for Lucky the Pizza Dog, his inclusion was most recently teased by Renner, who shared a photo of apparent Hawkeye dog treats.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner reprising his role as Clint Barton, a role he first started playing in 2011's Thor. The series is expected to follow Clint as he trains Kate Bishop to become the new Hawkeye. The show is also expected to examine Clint's time as Ronin, the superhero identity he took during the events of Avengers: Endgame.

Hawkeye stars Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton and Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop. The Disney+ series has yet to receive a premiere date.

 

Can't wait to see this one, but I guess I'd better watch Black Widow first!

 

Something tells me more of this have to do with trying everything they can to ensure these films bring bank. Especially to HBO MAX.

 

That's exactly what it is, The executives at WB did a cost-benefit analysis, and they realized that completed films that can't be widely distributed to theaters can't bring in any money, however, $14.99 per month subscription fees is at least some revenue, and even if HBOMax only gets half of the subscribers of Netflix that would still mean about $1.25 billion per month in revenue, as opposed to $0 dollars for movies nobody can see in theaters.
