I think this is true to some extent, but I also feel bad for the black women out there, because on this issue they're kind of trapped. There is an awful, racist history of considering black women highly sexual, or overly promiscuous -- just as black men are often stereotyped, except it's not considered as bad for men to be highly sexual, in my experience, the way it often is for women. Black women I know are conscious of feeding into that negative stereotype. It can be tough!
