Jimmy and Henry was supposed to die too but Jimmy was bringing in too much money for the Lucchese family which Big Paul Castellano was probably getting a cut even tho he was head of the Gambinos, since he was the most powerful on the commision at the time.

Big Paul just got rid of Tommy because someone had to die for it.

John Gotti was the one that took out Tommy. I think Gotti was a Capo at the time or either that was the kill that got him promoted to Capo.
