Batman has no powers. It would be silly of him to not use his engineering ability to close that gap as much as possible. That doesn't mean it defines him because as the engineer he is the creator, the tech isn't creating him.

Just being an engineer it's natural to innovate especially being an exceptional one. Not to want to keep upgrading his body armor makes no sense.

If he was fighting someone like the hulk. One hit from the hulk and he is done. He would have to find a soft spot on the hulk. To the hulk batman's whole body is the soft spot. No degree of martial arts expertise evens that out. An engineer would use his skill to upgrade his body armor as much as possible to reduce vulnerability.

Saying he really doesn't need body armor is a gross underestimation of his opponents and a severe overstatement of his ability, martial arts alone will only carry you so far. You can't just smoke bomb your way out of everything.

Tony Stark beat the hulk in Avengers 2 and he had to tear down a portion of downtown just to do it.

Yeah I know there was a silly comic where batman supposedly beat the hulk, the storyline was dumb and there was zero details.

Depends on the version. Even the animated series had luscious building his batmobile and other things. But, he has become more visible for his technological expertise in the past decade, depending on the series of comics. But, either way, batman has been given a very iconic status in the DCU. I vaguely remember the skull of bruce wayne being an important thing in the far distant future.

They might as well just go on ahead & release this on Hulu or Disney+ already as much as this movie's theatrical release date keeps getting delayed or pushed back.

They are deadset on a theatrical release as Boone puts it - https://www.cinemablend.com/news/25...-wont-go-to-disney-before-playing-in-theaters

"There's reasons why it has to be released in theaters first, even though we want everybody to see it in theaters. I don't think it's as simple as just putting it onto a streaming service because of a lot of business-related things that I couldn't speak to, and I don't really know about."

but I don't think Disney+ should be the place for it due to it being a horror movie. I seen a lot of people suggesting that option and I warn that they will more than likely wind up using CGI and making edits to parts they don't think people should see kind of like what they did with Splash's butt scene on the streaming service - https://www.theverge.com/2020/4/14/...plus-butt-cgi-hair-streaming-physical-digital - but then again that's "nudity" and we do know people are more acceptable with violence and horror so maybe... but If it does go to a streaming service I hope it's hulu just to be safe. The movie been through enough edits already. lol.

But until then August 28th it is...

Hulu released a trailer for its final Marvel Comics series, Helstrom, during the streaming network’s virtual San Diego Comic-Con panel.

The show is based on the Marvel Comics character Daimon Hellstrom, originally known as the Son of Satan.

The main reason why they keep saying this movie has to be released in theaters is strictly profit motivated. They could easily release the movie in the American. movie market on pay per view video on demand like some of these other movies that were scheduled for release earlier in the year.have already done since the pandemic hit. A week later they can then released the movie in the overseas market where ever theaters have been cleared to open. Then in another 2-3 months make up any profit through DVD & Blu-ray sells.

These fools are tripping if they believe that not only will they will be able to release this movie come the end of August, but even if theaters somehow are allowed to open, that they will get attendance to make enough box office in the opening week to make the movie profitable. The fact that all the true anticipated blockbusters for 2020 are still pushing their release dates back should be a clue to them.
