The information channels should not be broken. They are set up that way for a reason. If 45's administration wanted to help they could have used funds to give to the CDC so they can hire some help.

HSS has their own job to do, while they are doing this it's taking away from their regular jobs, or was they not doing anything at all before?

Setting up conflicts of interest is never the answer. The administration has already showed us that they don't care enough to try to get rid of this virus. All they care about is controlling the information so they can thereby exert some influence on what the media reports.

All they are going to do is forge the data and cause more deaths by having people to be less informed. Right wingers always underfund the government then expect them to perform as if they are funded correctly.
