Superman: Man of Tomorrow Details

Here’s the official description from Warner Bros. Home Video:

“It’s the dawn of a new age of heroes, and Metropolis has just met its first. But as Daily Planet intern Clark Kent – working alongside reporter Lois Lane – secretly wields his alien powers of flight, super-strength and x-ray vision in the battle for good, there’s even greater trouble on the horizon. Follow the budding hero as he engages in bloody battles with intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo and fights for his life to halt the attack of power-hungry alien Parasite. The world will learn about Superman … but first, Superman must save the world!”

This new animated film features voice talent from Darren Criss as Superman, Alexandra Daddario as Lois Lane, and Star Trek and American Horror Story star Zachary Quinto as the nefarious villain Lex Luthor.

Marvel to Publish Jack Kirby's The Eternals in Super-Sized Edition



Marvel Comics has announced a new "Monster Size" edition of Jack Kirby’s The Eternals, collecting issues #1-19 of the original comic as well as The Eternals Annual #1. The oversized, 384-page book will have a trim size of just over 13” x 21” and features a cover by Jack Kirby. It will be available in January 2021 with an MSRP of $125.

Kirby wrote and penciled the series, which tells the story of a new set of heroes, the Eternals, godlike creatures who fought the Greek, Roman, and Norse gods before leaving Earth to explore the stars. They must return to Earth, however, to protect humanity from their enemies, the Deviants, and both the Eternals and the Deviants must reckon with the higher beings who created them all, the Celestials.

Kirby began the series in July 1976, and the original run ended in January 1978, when it was canceled. Writer Peter B. Gillis and artist Sal Buscema revived it in a 12-issue miniseries in 1985, and Neil Gaiman and John Romita, Jr., brought them back for another series in 2006. The complete saga, including several other comics, was collected by Marvel in a 1,220-page hardcover omnibus scheduled for release on August 26, 2020.

Suicide Squad Director's Cut?

Suicide Squad director David Ayer has confirmed the ‘Ayer Cut’ – the alternate version of DC’s team-up movie – is real and has asked for fans to help push for its release on HBO Max.

“Cut definitely exists - you’ll need to ask [AT&T] and [HBO Max] to let it see the sunlight,” Ayer said on Twitter in response to a question about whether the Ayer Cut exists and whether we’ll ever get a chance to see it.

As of right now, HBO has no plans to release the director’s take on the Suicide Squad, but this is the first time Ayer has publicly asked for its release.

I was alright with the first one. But I knew once one got approved OTHER directors were going to want their cuts to be released. Just goes to show that directors don't always have the final say on their movies.

 

The difference is fans have been pushing #releasethesnydercut for three years. Nobody asked for an "Ayers Cut" lol. Especially since the girl-power sequel with Harley Quinn bombed.
