Leftover BBQ Ribs from Memorial Day. I usually place them in Ziploc bags and put them in the freezer the very same night that I grill. After that just re-heat them in an air fryer at 360 for about 10 minutes and I'm good to go.
Interesting...is that a normal combination? I mean, is that how it’s eaten? Waffle is an afternoon coffee kind of food to me.
It's kind of an American Soul Food thing for the most part. It's an anytime kind of meal. There are various specialty resturants that serve it around the country. You've at least heard of Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles, right? That resturant has been named dropped in tons of movies & TV shows since the late 1970-early 1980's.
Not sure... the thing is, we have dubbed American TV shows and movies on TV and in movie theatres in the German speaking world. Unlike Holland and Scandinavia where they get subtitled originals. So they would have come up with some weird translation for it.
Ahhhh...I see. I only asked because Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles is considered the place that brought chicken & waffles to the mainstream so it's considered "iconic". Primarly due to being in California (thus the movie & TV show references it's had over the decades).
Went to a drive thru Mexican restaurant called Emi's Taqueria and ordered some nachos with ground beef and grilled chicken, guacamole, sour cream, the works. Plus some bacon cheddar fries on the side.
