Footage captured from a parking garage by a protester, and shared with 10 News, an ABC affiliate, shows a woman kneeling on the ground with her arms up. A male police officer then grabs the woman by the head, pushing her to the ground. Other officers can then be seen pushing and pulling their colleague into the parking garage. "Here's the deal, I want to show you some video that was provided to us by a protester," a reporter for the news station says. "He says this is what started it all." This is what started the uproar in Fort Lauderdale... so fucking uncalled for. makes me sick. 10.9K 7:40 PM - May 31, 2020 Twitter Ads info and privacy 6,259 people are talking about this Footage captured from the ground shows the same incident, but it also captures the moment that a female officer seemed to confront her colleague over the incident. While their conversation is drowned out, the female police officer can be seen waving her arms at the male officer as if she is scolding him. The male officer then starts running away as he is hit with water bottles. The female officer catches up with the male officer and continues to yell at him. "Yes, thank you," a protester behind the camera can be heard yelling at the female officer. And it will be swift and corrective in nature. I also want to commend the other officers that were there for identifying there was an issue rather quickly and separating the parties. And that’s what they should do when they see something that they don’t feel is right, or an interaction that they feel is going south.” (Raquel) KOBE @SOULbeautifulme Replying to @illustriousCeo Black women don’t get enough credit that’s all I’m gonna say 12.4K 9:36 PM - May 31, 2020 Twitter Ads info and privacy 1,257 people are talking about this While another added: "This is what society is asking for!!! RIP David McAtee Last night, the police killed him too. https://people.com/crime/kentucky-protester-shot-by-police-was-bbq-chef-fed-officers-for-free/ The governor asked for the body cam. Turns out that the police didn't have them turned on. The mayor had to fire the police chief. https://time.com/5846329/louisville-police-chief-fatal-shooting-body-cameras-protests/ Big up to the white protesters coming through... This kid lost his eye https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...EYE-struck-face-police-tear-gas-canister.html All of this is just so frustrating. We need a better system than this. I don't care for Joe but at this point he is better than Trump. I can't stand the crime bill and he is completely out of touch on women(yeah yeah yeah I know the problem is that he is touching poor choice of words) and with black people but he is sadly the better selection. (Booker man you were the only hope)
Disinformation. The police had just blocked off the roads, unfortunately his truck had already passed before they did that and he did not know there was a bunch of people on the expressway and didn't have time to fully stop in time. They should never have beat him up. He was an innocent man driving a truck on an expressway.
Who knew that there were two other people with George in his car..?. No resisting arrest... People are asking why he was taken across the street, I think it might have been for identification?. Not much happens in the first four minutes.. Sad to see essentially the last 20 minutes of him alive before they kill him... 6 mins long
I know.. This one below has additional footage.. There was a man in a car behind his SUV that was filming... There was an also another person who began filming footage we haven't seen, before he was told to leave. This video is compelling...
That was not misinformation. He drove into that crowd. People had to move out of the way to avoid being hit. You can see people before he reach there. How do you not see a sea of people? Many of us have driven before. I think most of us would have seen the sea of people and gone nope not going there.
Do you know how difficult it is to suddenly STOP a rig riding down the highway? If he slammed on his brakes, he'd have jack-knifed into the crowd and killed many. Watch the video again -- he was not trying to run anybody over. There was nobody on the road, everybody was on the side... He had no clue they were there as he came up on them and when he saw them that is when he started to slow down and stop. He could have just kept going. He's already been vindicated.
https://www.yahoo.com/huffpost/3-cops-charged-george-floyd-death-181220204.html 3 More Former Cops Charged In The Killing Of George Floyd Three more former Minnesota police officers have been charged in the killing of George Floyd, a 46-year-old Black man who died after an officer kneeled on his neck during an arrest. The office of Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison charged Tou Thao, Thomas Lane and J. Alexander Kueng on Wednesday with aiding and abetting Floyd’s murder. The Hennepin County prosecutor had already arrested Derek Chauvin, the former police officer seen kneeling on Floyd’s neck, last week, charging him with third-degree murder and manslaughter. Ellison’s office is also upgrading the charges against Chauvin to include second-degree murder without intent, in addition to the existing charges. Chauvin’s bail, which was previously set at $500,000, is now $1 million. Good.
'Chauvin, a 19-year veteran of the force, was initially trained as a cook and served in the Army as a military police officer...' (Thanks for your shit service). 'Former owner of the club, Maya Santamaria, said Chauvin and Floyd both worked as security guards there at various times but that she wasn't sure if they had known one another. She said Chauvin was unnecessarily aggressive on nights when the club had a black clientele, quelling fights by dousing the crowd with pepper spray and calling in several police squad cars as backup, a tactic she called "overkill".
Oh fuck that dude. I really hope they all get the max but it probably won’t happen. Apparently from what I seen Chauvin is married to the Asian dudes sister. Smh Never mind, apparently that was a false rumor.
Oh I didn't know that. All l knew is she was a former beauty queen and has filed to divorce him. Since the charges have been upgraded from 3rd to 2nd-degree for him, he may plead out to 3rd, or if not, he could be convicted on 2nd degree, which denotes 'malicious intent', and carries a 40-year sentence. He won't walk... We'll just see how much time he does. The other 3 may walk.
First I would like to give my condolences to his family. RIP George! The man irregardless of his criminal past or whatever illicit drug he was using during the arrest should not have have been murdered. That cop was full of power trip, showed no regard or humanity when he squeezed the living breath out of that man's air and should be held accountable to the full extent. Systemic racism runs deep in America. To certain degree its true about the saying that the south begins at the Canadian border. I am all for civil disobedience, protest, demanding justice, bringing about change, etc.... Having said that.... now the movement has been hijacked by several groups for different reason to meet their agenda. Burning, looting, destroying businesses ain't gonna bring the man back and ain't gonna solve much of a thing. In fact, it brings unnecessary additional tension to all of us, most now think blks are thugs and we're only about looting and destroying, we know we're better than that. March to state capital demand justice, vote out your mayors, police chief, support your neighborhood, get involved politically, etc...but don't loot & burn mom & pop store, sad thing is some of the damaged businesses are owned by blks. When is Amerikka gonna learn...Sad state of affairs.
