Loving the graphic details of her Golden Eagle Armor. Although this means they are possibly giving another reason why she is donning this armor other than the reason in the comics.

I am reassured by the ongoing marketing campaign that the release date won't be postponed amid fears over COVID-19. Keeping my fingers crossed nonetheless.

It's Safespace and Snowflake: Meet Marvel's two new superheroes for the 'woke' generation
    By Emma Powell Showbusiness Correspondent

Hulk has superhuman strength, Iron Man a powered armour suit. But it seems Marvel's latest heroes boast the worthiest power of all: They're super-duper 'woke'.

Snowflake, with cropped blue hair and matching leotard, is non-binary – meaning an individual who does not identify as either male or female – and can make snowflake-shaped blades for throwing.

And twin Safespace – a term used to describe an environment free of bias, conflict or criticism – can create pink force-fields for defence against any unkind enemies.

The twins, who will be introduced as part of a series called New Warriors, see their powers as 'a postironic meditation on using violence to combat bullying,' according to cocreator Daniel Kibblesmith.

But the heroes have not been entirely well-received, with some claiming the characters' names make a mockery of the LGBT+ community and others branding the release a cynical publicity stunt.

"Extremely tone deaf', while another wrote on Twitter: 'The Marvel 'New Warriors' are so badly designed I thought they were parodies of 'stuff as many LGBT/minority characters in the main cast as possible' series.'

But Mr Kibblesmith said: 'The connotations of the word 'snowflake' in our culture right now are something fragile.

'Snowflake is a character who is turning it into something sharp.'

Snowflake is the franchise's first explicitly non-binary superhero, although Marvel writer Al Ewing previously said Thor's nemesis, Loki, is bisexual and 'gender fluid'.

Marvel Studios Has Reportedly Been Shut Down For The Foreseeable Future Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

It's no secret that Marvel Studios has been forced to hit the pause button on productions like Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Loki, but a new report doing the rounds this weekend claims that these shutdowns may be quite a bit longer than anyone actually suspected.

It's said that crew members have been informed that the initial 4-week suspension on everything from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier to WandaVision no longer seems "realistic," and productions will only resume "when the global health environment allows."

This report from Murphy's Multiverse (via CBR), also states that these same crew members "were notified that, as of April 3rd, they will no longer be employed on their particular project."

Shang-Chi is currently the only feature being shot, but that meeting its planned February 2021 release date is looking doubtful. We also don't know how much work is left to be done on Eternals, while upcoming films like Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3 could also be hit.

Honestly, it's not looking like a great time to be a superhero fan, and we're now left just hoping that Disney will consider releasing The New Mutants and Black Widow on Digital/Disney+.
