Thanks for bringing this thread back to life Tam! Who doesn’t love some good architecture! Dr Chau Chak Wing Building 2014 was a big year for modern innovative design in Sydney. Not far down the road from One Central Park, another incredible build was taking place—the 13-storey Dr Chau Chak Wing Building, designed by acclaimed American architect Frank Own Gehry. Likened to a crumpled brown paper bag, the striking curved UTS business school building is made up of 320,000 custom-designed sandstone-coloured bricks and is the first building in Australia designed by Gehry.
You're welcome, Becca; thanks for contributing! I always wonder what inspires architects, and from what I read about this one it was based on the idea of a tree-house. I don't see it, but maybe it's just me. lol
Youre welcome lovely. I actually always wonder the same ha! I don’t see it either, but what I do see is a cigarette lol
