Some like it hot. Some like it cold. Some like the AC way up, others prefer the heat. Do you find that your partner is on the same page with you regarding the temperature you prefer in your environs? And how important do you think that is in a relationship? I have lots of pet theories, and one of which is if you conflict with regard to temperature, you're headed for trouble. I think it's something that can grate on a relationship. It's not an insurmountable deal-breaker, but it's a bad sign. ...And on the other hand, if you jibe with regard to temperature, that's one big thing out of the way. You can even cuddle more comfortably. ...Plus when you retreat to your little refuge from the world, it's even more of a refuge for you snugglebugs if you're on the same page regarding temperature. ...Or maybe I'm projecting, because in one of the most disastrous relationships I've ever had, we constantly conflicted on temperature (among many other things). So what are your insights, ye daughters of Europe & sons of Africa? Anything?
On my dating profiles, I let it be known I sleep with the fan on every night and it's a deal breaker if a woman couldn't get with it. My girlfriend is exactly like me when it comes to sleeping. Fan on, thunderstorm or wave sounds playing in the background, and twisted together amongst ourselves like a human pretzel.
No, I don’t like a draft blowing on me when I’m sleeping. Makes one get a sore throat or stiff neck. I can sleep with an open window or turned off heater, cold isn’t the issue for me.
It isn't necessarily a deal breaker, but it does make it better when you have a similar temperature preference. I like it cool. I sleep with a fan year round and won't sleep without it, and in the summer my AC is never set higher than 70°F. As far as temperature extremes go, I'd rather be too cold than too hot.
I like it cold when I sleep. During the summer I have the AC on and in the winter I sleep with the window cracked to let in the cold air at night. I also like it pitch black, too. I have blackout curtains on the windows and they are life.
Yes they are. I love Jet lag. Don't need the earth to be my clock. I don't want to know what time it is.
I definitely like the AC on all night. Need fan or AC noise, just chilled enough to make me want to stay under the cover. Sleep music is good too, Maxwell, Sade, Miles Davis, or nature sounds. I guess it could be a deal breaker. Wouldn't care if she wrapped herself up in extra blankets, but I need it to be at least 72 degrees, no warmer. You really see how men and women feel temperature differently when you are in a huge office area. The men are always hot the women are always cold. Anywhere else, you can just look around at how women usually dress warmer than men.
