History channel just dropped the 1st trailer for the upcoming season 6A (& final season) of "Vikings":
So, because Joker is doing so well, WB wants to do a Lex Luthor film. In this film Superman does not really exist, but is just an urban myth. The movie will center around Lex's rise from poverty to becoming the president of the United States with Lois Lane being the first lady. See, shit like this is why I wanted Joker to fail. Now, we'll never get an actual DC Universe done right.
That's the whole problem with WB & the DCEU movies. They have no respect for the comic sources materials. Unike MCU they don't embrace the fantastical elements of the characters & the world/worlds they inhabit focusing instead on making everything fit into real world setting. That's the same thing that ultimately lead to the downfall of the X-Men franchise at Fox. Playing too much to realism rather than fantasy. Stop letting individuals who don't like or respect comicbooks/superheroes make movies based on comics, especially if they are vocal about their disdain for the media & the fanbase.
Yeesh, sounds like a terrible idea. I saw a discussion elsewhere with folks are discussing whether or not WB should do a Lex Luthor movie after the success of the new "Joker" film. A lot of folks are against it because they think Lex is too boring to do a solo movie about. But I just finally slow-binged this past season 4 of "Supergirl" a couple weeks ago & I think a Lex movie can working after watching that last 1/3 of the season.
Yes, the trailer is incredibly awful. I can not think what madness overtook AMC. Nonetheless, out of morbid curiosity, I intend to watch the pilot.
