Natalie Portman plays the female Thor Anthony Mackie is the new black Captain America they kiss in the comic books will they kiss on screen...
It's funny how they're trying to market these comic book movies to girls, when most girls aren't going to line up to see a female Thor on the big screen. Neither are most boys I would think. There's a hero/heroine archetype for men and women, but they aren't necessarily interchangeable. Gender fluid heroes I think appeals to no one. Just like rom-coms appeals mainly to women, action/adventure comic book movies appeal to young men and boys. Changing the gender of the main characters doesn't make the appeal broader to both boys and girls. It simply turns off both. It's a strange trend in Hollywood and I wonder how soon these big studio producers check their bottom line and realize the ticket sales aren't there. Men and women are just wired differently, I wonder when that became a bad thing in Hollywood???
Not to be a party pooper but there really isn't much chance of this relationship happening in the MCU (at least not anytime soon). In the movie universe, those two characters have never met, and it takes at least a couple of movies for romantic relationships in the MCU to happen. Maybe if she is still Thor and he is still Captain America when Avengers 5 comes out in 4 or 5 years.
Ehhh they (Hollywood) will probably just hint at their romance. Don't think they will let Mackie smash down them ivory walls on the big screen probably won't even get a kiss.
LOL I remember going to see Finding Forrester back in the day because I got the hint from the previews that she would hook up with the brother. Never made the mistake of getting that optimistic about an BM/WW pairing in a movie again.
Captain Marvel made money though even in spite of all of the stupid shit that Brie Larson was saying. That's why they're going overboard with this shit now. They might be setting themselves up for the failure of several films instead of just one.
Interesting post from a far lefty. Gender fluid is a leftist concept. Weirdos have already taken over Hollywood, but you want to vote for them and give them the rest of the country.
It was obviously a double. Her face was only shot from the head up in that scene. You only saw the double from the back. As a matter of fact, I don't think that the double was even in the same frame as the brother. You just saw his head on a pillow. That scene was shot so awkwardly, I don't even know why they included it. I know that the big reveal was supposed to be that she was cheated, but it just played out weird on screen.
I think that is where people were getting at when they talked about how unnecessary it was. The idea was to reveal that she cheated on her husband with him, but they shot it so stupidly and lackadaisical that it didn't come off right. Probably due to her not wanting to touch a black man in the scene? Or the director not wanting it to happen? It was something for them to fail so bad at delivering it.
I was wondering how this thread of this not-gonna-happen-hookup in the MCU still had life. Then I read it and found out. Not THIS debate again.
