Here the political science degree doesn't usually do much by itself, but when you go to graduate school and further apply those skills is when it usually starts to pay off. You typically have to do more writing in grad school and the political science background usually has you ready for that.
Actually now that I put more thought into it I think political science is a real social science, my reasoning is as follows: Economics is a real social science because market behavior exists outside of man made economic structures like capitalism. Finance is a real social science because risk/reward behavior exists outside of man made structures like the stock market. Political science is a real social science because the behavior of power dynamics, and demagoguery, which includes ass kissing ect.....Most certainly exist outside of man made government and political positions. So I was wrong about that. However I'm most certainly right about the difference between economic and political systems and how socialism is an economic system that doesn't necessarily owe any historical reference to political science.
@sarah23 They do. Example: You're 91 yrs old. You are having heart troubles so they put in a pacemaker. True story. My room companion when l was briefly hospitalized. She was so sprightly, walked on her own, bathroom, ate her own meals, had all her senses and family who loved her, stopped by. She would walk over to me and chat with me. In the U.K she would not get the pacemaker because on paper she is an expense with little return. They would determine she's going to die sooner than later. Top doctor's chilling claim: The NHS kills off 130,000 elderly patients every year https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...-NHS-kills-130-000-elderly-patients-year.html 'Professor Pullicino claimed that far too often elderly patients who could live longer are placed on the LCP and it had now become an ‘assisted death pathway rather than a care pathway’...."
The good thing is they are gonna be fixing that mess without being able to blame the EU for their homemade issues very soon.
I’m still waiting! They are wasting everyone’s time with their drama. For the record, I didn’t want them to leave, but since they have decided to we should just get it over with. It’s like when your husband wants to leave but then changes his mind, then still wants to leave and then drags you into a long drawn-out divorce case.
So Bernie said last night, on top of free college, he wants to forgive all current student debt ($1.5 trillion). Yay or nay?
Brexit is anti European cooperation. But if they wish to leave, then they should leave. It is distracting other countries. We have other issues to deal with.
I wouldn’t say I’m “Anti-Brexit”, neither pro-Brexit. I’m not British, so neither of it matters. If I said I’m pro- Brexit it’d mean I want to kick the British out meanwhile we’re staying in the EU. Doesn’t make sense. I didn’t agree with the (false) arguments of the Brexit campaign and I think they’ve been annoying (politically-otherwise I don’t have anything against British people).
