The bearing that religion has on culture is my reason for the inquiry.

 

The last culture I studied was the culture of Tanzania. Those that practice Christianity or Islam there combine the religion with indigenous beliefs. The reason is because those religions don't answer a lot of questions that previous belief systems did.

That's why I didn't ask what happens to animals after death. I doubt the religion has an answer.
