I've been consistent about this from the beginning. His victims are black kids so everyone lets this piece of garbage walk around free. Secondly the stark difference between him and Michael Jackson is I saw the fucking tape pricing this asshole was guilty as sin. His track record speaks for itself. Marrying Aaliyah when she was 14 shows this piece of shit is a predator.
You hit the nail right on the head and those ladies just went against mainstream ideologies to BE racially bias against black males. This is the thing these black women coming after R. Kelly didn't seeem to realize. Like you said are we going after Michael Jackson too, because like R. Kelly he was just accused and not convicted of ANY crime. Call me sinister but I can't wait til some of these female celebrities past come back to haunt them. Because It's like I said they are painting shit with a broad brush where they want to punish damn near anything involving male and female contact and have allowed white feminist and misandrist to take over. You can't be successful in your movement by trying to play judge, jury and executioner and think there aren't any women in this movement that have dirt on them.
I wouldn't hold my breath because powerful women are always ready to throw down the victim card when they get backed into a corner, and when they do 9 times out of 10 everyone gives them a pass.
Im going by their narrative of being accused. He also settled with the one "victim" out of court. Their not even talking about that. I keep hearing about his sex cult and sex slave allegations. I have yet to hear them mention the tape, but even still it got ignored, he wasn't convicted, they made fun of him and people moved on. I personally have always been on the outs with R. Kelly ever since he was with a teenage Aaliyah. But before all this you bring that up and folks especially black women would defend him.
When a lot of people settle its not because they did it it's because they're trying to have a career and a life without bs following them around. One of his "victims" confessed that his family put him up to it for the money. This was a mentally ill guy whose family leeched off his talent and wasn't allowed a childhood. That's why he created that weird ass Neverland Ranch. Well to me the debate stopped when it was no longer speculation and I saw a video tape of his fucked up actions. I remember last year I was at a wedding and Step in the name of love came on. Of course I had to be "difficult" and bring that shit up and everyone was salty at me. Sorry if I'm going to point out ya'll are supporting a known child molestor.
Yeah I know, but you and I both know that doesn't matter to court of public opinion. That is why they brought him up on the view because they know it as well. This maybe far out there, but living in the age of technology I don't think it is that far out there. I think the only way we are going to start being able to get to ANY truth that isn't on video is if we create a mind reading machine or upgrade the way we do polygraph test. Because human beings are just basically trying to determine the truth by their opinions, beliefs and even more dangerous their auto-sympathy for anyone that makes even the slightest accusation.
I should also note that even though R. Kelly got most of the headlines, Spotify also took off rappers XXXTentacion & Tay-K off their playlists last week. This news came out Yesterday: https://twitter.com/HotNewHipHop/status/996136423714639879 https://www.hotnewhiphop.com/spotif...by-chris-brown-nelly-and-more-news.50150.html
I hate that they keep going after Chris Brown over that Rhianna shit. Sometimes abusive relationships go both ways and Rhianna has means she isn't tied to dude so if she could get past it and continue to be with him why are they caping for him? Never understood it. And lets keep it real if it were a no name chick or woman they didnt like like Kim K we wouldn't be talking about this.
When does activism become outright censorship?? If you want to protest against certain artists because of their history with women, do that. But is it right for you to demand who and what businesses decide to sell and promote?? On some level this women's rights groups seem like their pushing cultural extortion. Just don't buy the music. They're no different from PETA IMO and I'd treat them the same way. UltraViolet claims 700,000 members. I call bullshit on that. This reminds me of parents who want Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn removed from libraries because the N-word was in it.
Well not quite, yet again. You and l had a back-and-forth discussion about Michael a few years back. I was defending him, you were calling him a pedophile. It's cool tho.
Unless he actually raped somebody, going after an 80-year-old is stupid. Morgan Freeman is from a different generation were men flirted aggressively and it wasn't a big deal. Of course, he should be made aware that he stepped over the line by modern standards, but if they exile him to #MeToo Island they are making a mistake.
lol..yes you did. I have always defended Michael but you butted with me on it saying those kids were molested by him.. It wasn't heated arguing, we just disagreed on his guilt, or not. It wasn't even in a solo thread..l will try to find it. Edit.. There is no complete catalogue of our numerous exchanges many years ago, or your complete library of 50,000 posts. At this point for whatever reasons, we at least agree then that he was railroaded and don't believe he touched those kids...if he did in any way, l don't think it wasn't salacious in intent..l think he remained a man boy in all aspects of his personal life
Morgan Freeman has apologized after being accused of widespread sexual harassment and inappropriate behavior, saying that he never intended to make 'anyone feel disrespected or uncomfortable'. He has been dropped by as the voice of Vancouver Public Transport as a result
So the men of his generation should get a pass for behavior conducted upon this generation? He knew better in "15 and '17.. "The allegations include claims including those of a young production assistant who alleges Freeman, 80, tried to lift up her skirt repeatedly in 2015. Only one woman who claims to have been mistreated by him was named. She is Chloe Melas, the CNN reporter who wrote the article who claims Freeman called her 'ripe' and told her: 'Boy I want to be there' as she interviewed him while six months pregnant in 2017. Granted the "ripe" is just words not so bad, so meh, but repeatedly lifting a skirt? I'd be freakin mortified if a man, let alone a boss, did that to me at work.
It will catch up to everyone, past and present. To be frank, this is as expected, and quite frankly, this could be a major wake-up call in the end, as certain mentalities can no longer be tolerated.
