Stevante Clark (25) is a mess. He's in jail today, arrested and no bail right now. They say he's been threatening people (felony threat), calling 911 and harassing, wrecked the place he lives in (his roommate called the cops and they arrested him in the street outside the house = felony vandalism). Sounds like he's been doing all sorts of things since Monday.

On the latest news report for the area they said that Stevante had barricaded himself in the street in front of his home. They interviewed him in jail (being held in the mental illness part)

He's also saying that they need more mental health services/resources in under serviced areas.

 

He needs to be mentally assessed. I kept telling myself that maybe this is how he is grieving but it is starting to look like he is mentally unwell.

 

Absolutely! Supposedly was he assessed was last week when he went into the hospital. We have such a piss pour mental health system (no matter what area you live in), I can't imagine that he was assessed well. Clearly not, given that less than a week later he's out there doing more. For the most part, the only mental health system we have is part of the prison system or addiction programs/dual dx. There really isn't much available to anyone who says - hey I need help. He's begging for help all over the place. He's said over and over again he needs help. Now he's acting out....it looks like he's heading in a very bad direction.
