What's the time limitations on it? That may be why it's a civil rather than criminal, plus isn't the burden of proof less for civil than criminal? A rape kit may have just proved that they had sex, he could still claim consensual. The thing about Kimora waiting is what really grabs me, not about her - but he's the father of her kids!
For the charges he faces in California, the statute of limitations were removed and the window for acquiring DNA tests was expanded. Although he does have allegations in multiple states https://www.npr.org/sections/thetwo...iminates-statute-of-limitations-on-rape-cases
The woman claims it happened in 2016 and she filed this civil lawsuit in Los Angeles, California. As @GFunk pointed out the statue of limitations were removed if new DNA evidence emerges. I've heard this before about rape kits, but she says she was forcibly raped by him. If you read some of the details I'm like how can you have that violent of an encounter with someone and not go to the police. But I was never in a position like that so I can't really talk about someone's thinking. But those reasons about how the way civil lawsuits work are the MAIN reason why I'am suspicious of those who file them. They are not under much pressure to prove their case and can still win. http://criminal.findlaw.com/crimina...between-a-criminal-case-and-a-civil-case.html "Crimes must generally be proved "beyond a reasonable doubt", whereas civil cases are proved by lower standards of proof such as "the preponderance of the evidence" But yeah Kimora waiting is mind boggling to me. Just like you pointed out, this is the father of her kids!
LOL! Yo the mainstream media is going after Rappers for not supporting the #MeToo movement on the Red Carpet of tonight's Grammys: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/a...sean-dont-wear-white-roses-at-grammys-1079330
That reminds me of when Obama was running for president and people were tripping about whether he had an American flag pin in his lapel. "A true patriot would wear the pin, what's the matter Mr. Obama don't you love America?"
And if they did they would've been called hypocrites because of their lyrics and alleged incidents. They probably saw what happened with Aziz Ansari and learned from it. Remember they want men with an unrealistic super clean type of hands supporting the movement. Because if you even looked at a naked woman in a movie before and enjoyed it you can be called an hypocrite because of how broad they are painting these terms, remember some women want Aziz to go down for "sexual coercion".
Just pinning a rose on their suit doesn't turn a bad boy into a nice guy. If they had done that it would have been hypocritical as they don't have a very good track record respecting women.
You really have to be careful about the media and reporters in this day and age, for whatever topic. Yes, they write and perform tasteless and misogynistic lyrics and some have been investigated for sex-related incidences, however, for this reporter to infer that they deliberately left the white roses at home in solidarity, is unfair without proof. Just because they didn't mention it (unless they were asked, and dismissed it, which then please disregard the rest of this), they do not have to speak on it voluntarily. From all accounts I'm reading, the "white rose wearing' was a last-minute decision and many New York florists did not have sufficient white roses to provide for the demand, which would explain why Common and John Legend didn't have any either. Funny how they're not accused of being in solidarity with each other to dismiss the #TimesUp Movement. Now I'm not saying that the rappers mentioned wouldn't have chosen to do that to begin with - l don't know - I'm just saying that for this reporter to declare a rejection solidarity as fact, without them actually speaking on it, is disingenuous at the least. The Movement doesn't need exaggeration, or anyone spinning it.
Janelle Monei before introducing Kesha.. 'Tonight, I am proud to stand in solidarity as not just an artist, but a young woman, with my fellow sisters in this room who make up the music industry — artists, writers, assistants, publicists, CEOs, producers, engineers, and women from all sectors of the business,' she said. 'We are also daughters, wives, mothers, sisters, and human beings. To those who would dare try and silence us, we offer you two words: #Timesup. We say Time's Up for pay inequality, discrimination or harassment of any kind, and the abuse of power.' 'We come in peace, but we mean business. It's not just going on in Hollywood, or in Washington, it's right here in our industry as well,' she continued. 'And just as we have the just as we have the power to shape culture, we also have the power to undo the culture that does not serve us well. So, let's work together, women and men, as a united music industry committed to creating more safe work environments, equal pay, and access for all women." The speech was followed by Kesha's moving performance of Praying, about her being raped by a music producer. Very cool
Ke$ha made that shit up to get out of her contract. Period. Ruined Dr. Luke's career. Dude is an asshole, sure. But, he's not a rapist nor did he harras or coerce that girl. Hopefully, the truth will come out.
A large amount of young people view compliment on appearance and invites out for a drink is sexual harassment. So glad I'm not out dating anymore. Society is fucked. https://www.dailywire.com/news/2385...-think-compliments-drink-amanda-prestigiacomo
It's a bunch of idiots who desperately want dating to be like shopping. They don't want a connection they want a scenario they have complete control of. Robots are going to change this entire thing for the better.
People say that, but IRL I bet it doesn't go down like that. You just can't be asking females out when you're signing their checks. Otherwise, most women I think still like to be complemented on their appearance and how they dress, as long as you don't get creepy about it.
As long as you're the guy they want to compliment them. You ever hear women talk? Everyone is a stalker if they aren't into them. We raise very childish adults in this country.
I find the previous comment you made "We raise very childish adults in this country" to be more accurate. There's a real lack of personal responsibility in general.
