Music industry different from Film industry. BM definitely have more power/privilege/influence in the music industry. My point in my previous post still stands.
No actors where's the scandal on Denzel or Will Smith where are the trail of women for Morgan Freeman
You know I don't want to sound insensitive to the accusers and frankly, I believe most of them. However, the ease a career can become obliterated with just an accusation is very troubling to me. In this current climate, a simple accusation wields a tremendous amount of power, and even though I believe most of the accusers, unchecked power is a corrupting force. That is why our justice system requires trials so that accusers and those who stand accused both get a fair chance to tell their side of the story. As it stands now what is happening is more akin to a lynch mob than it is with justice.
If they hadn't been dragging Cosby for the past 5 years, they'd go out of their way to lump him into this current bullshit
One hurdle we gotta clear before I entertain it is someone has to explain to me in what America during the damn 60s and early 70s would a black man be a known serial rapist of white women and be allowed to still earn millions let alone live. Come on that literally makes no sense. I've been black for too damn long try again.
Plus a lot of people were into Quaaludes, poppers, uppers and downers back in the day. Used them for sex, etc. This was the disco era and before. Cos was just a man of his day IMO
Interesting that the usual defenders aren't saying anything about this, but Olivia Munn and Terry Crews. Is this another case of people liking him so NOW they don't want to be quick to judge? Regardless still a rare case of a bm being accused of such a thing where wm rule. BM have more power in the music industry than film and tv but there are still more powerful white men in the music industry. So it is easier to accuse bm as we have seen with Nelly, R. Kelly, Rick Ross and even that singer Olivia made an accusation about 50 cent, but not much of them were able to stick. Some of it because they weren't true and of course some of it having to do with black musicians power. Power has corrupted anyone especially in such a self indulging, idol worshiping industry like the entertainment industry. These women act like the women that are in power haven't abused power before. Let me grab that list. lol. "Absolute power corrupts absolutely"
R.Kelly isn't rotting in prison because his victims were/are poor black girls. The dude has obvious and blatant perverted tendacies but we gloss over it because the black community would rather be entertained and the overall collective community don't give two shits about black children. You guys read about the those 26 African bodies that were found stripped of organs? Exactly.
C'mon man. How weak must you be if this "taints" your enjoyment of a fictional show? Especially if it's the writer of said show, not even one of the stars that you actually see on screen. It ain't like YOU got groped. I will continue to watch my Miramax flicks and Kevin Spacey movies and anything else I like. At the end of the day these guys personal lives don't have anything to do with me
It doesn't help that women serve themselves and even their daughters up to this dude, let's be real. Women and girls who want to get into show business or hit the babymama lotto. How else would an underage girl even get within 15 feet of this guy. I'm a grown-ass man and never have reason to come in contact with 14 year old girls. And his female fan base remained loyal! I'm just a little bit sick of the notion that girls and women don't have their own agency in this shit.
We don't know the circumstances these girls could have been at a show or been friends of a family member or children of a friend. He's a predator this mofo seeks out victims and for the girls yes there's a limited amount of agency but they are still children and the fact that we are even discussing their involvement supports my original assertion. If they were white we wouldn't be bringing this up he'd be a predator end of story. Only when it comes to black kids do people actually want to argue on behalf of the damn pedophile smfh
Well - yes and no. There's plenty of white women who have served their girls up to pedophiles....married them and so forth, because of wealth and position. They don't have to be famous. It goes on all the time. For every one that gets reported and into the media, there are plenty that don't.
Agreed but no one is arguing against them the way they did those R.Kelly girls and for the love of God there is a damn tape this isn't heresay we can see that its him yet he walks free
Who thought it was a good idea to begin with? Women have different issues and needs than men. They look at things and deal with each other differently. They also look at the things we do quite differently and often take things the wrong way. I've been in situations where women told me embarrassing personal women issue stuff so they can cover their asses. Stuff I wasn't and will never be comfortable hearing or dealing with. Also, I've gone to women in leadership positions to get them to intervene on the behalf of women that came to me with issues they had with other women and so forth. (They felt comfortable coming to me but I wisely got other women involved) I can politic when necessary. Then you have company polices on things like dress code where it certainly would be better for a woman to tell another woman what she can and can't wear to work. (Especially with the sexual harassment shit) How can it not be better to be separated at work by gender?? Lastly, every single complaint these women have made about men in Hollywood also applies to women at work. They sexually harass and inappropriately touch. They are also generally annoying af. There are always women that I enjoy working around or with, but I can't ignore the overall unnecessary complications created by such an environment. I joke around but more than anything else, I'm a no nonsense problem solver. I quite naturally have low tolerance for the unnecessary shit. I'm about solutions.
