Meet Sophia the worlds first robot citizen. http://www.businessinsider.com/soph...in-saudi-arabia-the-first-of-its-kind-2017-10
And the end of billions of lives. The human population will probably be down to a few million by year 2045. Like I said we can only pray the end is quick. The worst thing is to be a survivor in a world where nothing grows and there's never ending death and destruction
Enjoy what little time you have left. I feel especially bad for those with kids there will be nothing for them unless they're lucky enough to be extremely wealthy.
Hmm, I guess the silver lining is if everyone is having sex with robots, therefore not reproducing, then there won't be any humans left to worry about after all the robot humpers are dead.
I suppose it was only a matter of time. People having sex with technology via internet porn and the vibrating peen-2000 and so on. Before you know it we will all be having...
This troubles me for the mass amount of people this will displace. People not lucky enough to be born rich or have the skill set to be come rich will be obliterated. I'm more interested in the development around robots and automation. Yeah its entertaining to see what they can do if you can ignore the displacement and destruction to the vast majority of the human race
You are one conflicted guy. To love science so much, you only focus on the negative possibilities. Even in the Astronomy thread lol. Everything has a double edge sword, not just technology. Anyway more power to your focus on politics. You can have it.
It ain't the tech in worried about its about how selfish greedy people handle it that I'm worried about. I've seen people buy up areas in Boston make everyone the block required to have a parking permit just to park on a public street. They did this knowing it would push poor people out of the neighborhood. All so they could have a shorter commute to work. The greedy don't give one fuck about how they hurt others
Don't disagree with you, however I don't live my life or channel my focus because of people. I am who I am and I love science. I won't change or even edit that for anyone. If anything I will transcend this petty human existence to realize something greater. This universe exists because of laws that are greater than all of us, and it will continue to exist after our insignificant species dies off like the dinosaurs before us. Science is eternal even if we're not.
But this isn't a science issue its an implementation issue. Kudos to you for some how being above and beyond humanity while occupying a human body. I'm a person and I fight for the stability of not just humanity but life in general. These children who have access to so much power will see the entire planet destroyed just to play with their toys
Kudos to you for thinking you can save a world that great men before you couldn't. Kudos to you for thinking one great man with free will can save 7 billion more while allowing them free will. I believe they deserve free will. I also believe that will destroy them. Yes I'm stuck occupying a human body, but I humble myself before other humans that have understood greater. Most of them are no longer here, but in the spirit of their work, I am thankful.

It's whatever. Not my fault or responsibility. If I save the world it won't be because I convinced others to act right. Either it's through science or fuck it.
