I used to watch The Millionaire Matchmaker. I love Patti Stanger's no nonsense(no bullshit) approach to dating. I recall a couple of episodes that a young black guy who said he was a millionaire, but it was discovered that he really wasn't. A rich bbw who was so immature that she chose to date a young egotistical and deceptive plumber over a retired police officer. Then there was the woman who wanted to pattern herself after Demi Moore, whom preferred dating younger men. She was called "The Botox Bitch" because she had spent a lot of money to fix her face. I sometimes miss that show.
Lloyd Haynes. I remember Room 222. I couldn't understand it but it was the first television drama that I had seen with a black male character. He had a small part in the film Ice Station Zebra with Rock Hudson, Ernest Borgnine, Patrick McGoohan and Jim Brown. The first was was Hogan's Heroes(sitcom), the second was Land Of The Giants(sci-fi), the third was Sanford And Son, the fourth was That's My Mama(sitcom), The Rookies(police drama), S.W.A.T.(police drama),Ironside, Barney Miller, Police Woman, etc. The black actors who were on those shows and films paved the way for many others to follow.
