Sexual Harassment/Assault Scandals

That is why we all have to remain calm. This is nothing new, nor is it all that old.

And it won't end with Harvey Weinstein.

This happens all over the world to different people from all walks of life. Not just in the Entertainment industry but in the corporate world, the political circles and the military.

 

I hope this doesn't happen. But, I would not be surprised if Weinstein takes his own life.

 

Well, Ridley Scott's brother took his own life when he learned that he had terminal cancer.

This is as tragic a story as some of his films. His fall from grace is epic. It wouldn't surprise me, either.

 

This is how he learned to get hot women. Think about it. Hot girls were not checking for him growing up. I can almost guarantee that. Then, he gets into the movie biz. Suddenly, the baddest of the bad are throwing themselves at him. So, he ran with it. He thought to himself, "This is how I do it. This power is my equalizer." That kind of thing can be very intoxicating to a lot of men.

Once again, think about it. Imagine most of the seriously beautiful women you've come across in your adult life are willing to have sex with you and all you have to do is say let's go. The ones that aren't outright throwing it at you, are just waiting for you to suggest it, or at a minimum, make a move. And, it's cool with them. It's part of their plan. They've built that time into their day. For them, that's all part of the process.

How would decades of having that kind of power affect how you approach beautiful women that you work with almost every day?

Like my late uncle had once told me, "It's the money that makes you pretty."

People in positions of power, sooner or later, will discover the the perks and advantages of having power. Like a kid in a large candy or toy store; and it's all theirs.

Like fashion photographers, these people have fantasies about those who work for them.

They have ideas of what roles they will play on the big or small screen.

I recall my visit to my agent at the talent agency. My agent, a young woman, looked me over and said, "You have a "good " look. You could be a doctor, a lawyer, a cop or a young father."
She didn't play the mogul role but she was upfront about the movie and tv business. I had to learn a lot in a short period of time when I was a movie extra.

On the set,as it was at the agency, there were a lot of models there to await an assignment. It could be anything from commercials(commercials local and national made actors in those a lot of money), print ads for magazines and catalogs, music videos, movies and television shows.

 

Because like most things feminism it only works to liberate and support white women. It's messed up

 

If you follow this new wave of sexual harassment to its logical conclusion, only men of equal or lower socioeconomic status will be allowed to 'hit on' women.

The reason WOC aren't speaking out is because they've never been down with that program.
IMO most women fantasize about being propositioned by a powerful successful man, whether at the club or the workplace.

If Bill Gates or Warren Buffet had been about that life, imagine the casualties they would have on their resumes.lol

There 's going to be a reset IMO in communication and relationships between men and women after the Weinstein scandal, and women aren't going to come out on the winning side.

Think how many times guys like Idris Ilba, Denzel, Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, etc., have been 'sexually harassed' by the wives/GFs/male and female studio execs throughout their careers, and yet you don't see these men on a crusade to preserve their personal dignity and masculinity.

What's fucked up for Harvey is I don't there's an example where he sabotaged a female actor's career because she refused to sleep with him.
IMO he's being eviscerated for being a toadish looking dude who was punching above his weight class.

Also, I bet we wind up seeing all these women claiming sexual harassment in Hollywood end real quick.
Think what you want, but it's just not a good business decision for an up and coming actor to cry out loud about who hit on them while they try to establish their careers.

 

That's what it's all about and the number one reason I don't trust these feminist like Rose and Alyssa and can only condemn what they went through with sexual assault. Other than that, they want what White male supremacist have... POWER!

In this culture(American culture) you are taught the american dream, the goal of success all have to do with making it to the top. We worship celebrities, follow misleaders like these politicians and revere and congratulate people that makes tons and tons of money, Forbes is a magazine dedicated to the life of wealthy people and treats wealthy like Kings and Queens. These people are then given everything, barely have to really pay for much. Feminist don't want equality, they want power. That's why we always catch them steering away from all the unity and equality talk once they start getting more and more attention. Just go and look at @rosemcgowan and @alyssamilano and @asiaargento's twitter feed. The more and more attention they get the further away they get from a goal of unity and equality.

To me, even the most sympathetic, empathetic and compassionate celebrity, male and female, can be led astray or sidetracked. They are human beings and want to make a difference. But they are unaware of what comes next down the road.

 

It's not a justification...it's simply the truth that many people become completely different people when it comes to gaining power. It's not just in Hollyweird.

 

It doesn't end there, it's even in clergy circles. The Catholic Church has had many scandals.

 

Here's my thing it's Hollywood and the profession of most people are professional damn liars. That's what they do for a living, they are paid to sell fantasies and lies. Think about who we consider "good" actors, those who can persuade us into believing they are who they say they are. Call me a jerk but I don't believe for a second all these women were doe eyed and had no clue what the business was. I think most if not all people in that business charm and present themselves in an appealing way to curry favor. These are roles worth millions of dollars. People take lives and destroy lives for much much less so sorry I don't believe in the innocent actress who thinks her merit alone is how you make it Hollywood. And let's be real the vast majority of people in Hollywood suck but garner mass amounts of money to play pretend for a few months. Nicolas Cage is a great example he's worth millions and he sucks at his craft. Same thing can be said about actresses like Tara Reid who was the flavor of the month for a couple of years. She absolutely sucks and kept getting roles. I simply can't find the empathy for millionaires complaining about taking advances from someone they find unattractive when other women in this country can't find a job with a living wage and affordable rent. And I reject the narrative being shaped, only white women are worthy of concern why they cry sexual assault.

 

Like I and others have said before. Don't mix business with pleasure. When you do you open up the door for all kinds of shit. A guy I work with just told me today that a chick he had sex with from the job actually came up there on her day off and sat beside him for two hours and watched him while he worked.....lol.

Now he doesn't know how to get rid of her.

This Harvey guy in Hollywood broke a simple rule of wisdom, he probably doesn't deserve the shit storm he is getting but that's irrelevent. When you make those types of decisions you should know the risk.

Life isn't about fair, a lot of life is simply risk management. The guy is rich he could have found another way to get laid. Consequences often follow when you break rules of wisdom. Other guys may have gotten away with the same behavior, but its still a risk that none of them had to take.

 

Marlon Brando stated that very statement about actors and actresses in Hollywood; they are liars and con artists. They are doing what the audience only dreams about doing and the audience live vicariously through the actors and actresses. There are some actors who can convince anyone watching their films that they can do anything and almost everything and the audience can't get enough. Liberace sometimes told his audience after his show, "You're such a lovely audience. I 'm ashamed to take the money. But you know I will."

 

Harvey Weinstein didn't check himself, so he wrecked himself.

One piece of wisdom that one should always carry with them is this; if you don't want it to happen, don't let it happen.

 

That's why I believe they are just seeking an opportunity to with this to take control of the spot Harvey Weinstein held in Hollywood, they want more than a seat at the table, they want to control the food that comes and who sits where. It's a power grab. I do believe some of them did reject his advances and were harassed and threatened, but I think some weren't and are lying and the ones that are victims of Harvey are using it and milking it for opportunity to advance feminism in power in Hollywood. They have a taste and hunger for power, not to make shit right and fight against feminism and create equality in Hollywood.

It's very telling that all of these women who claim sexual harassment have had, or still have, successful carreers. If saying no to guys like Harvey was so destructive to an actor's career, why do all of these women who've turned him down, been so successful?

Harvey Weinstein is, or was, a power player in Hollywood because he had an uncanny knack for bankrolling and producing actors and movies that became huge hits.

I don't think any movie producer of recent vintage has had the success Weinstein and Miramax had in greenlighting critically acclaimed and successful box office movies. And he did it by making movies for adults, not comic book or tween fiction movie remakes.

None of the people on the list above exclusively made their money making movies.

It's kind of hard to make tech billions in the movie business.
