I understand that, but these guys are making it worse. I mean was he drunk when that happened, did he ever apologize to her before. Can't help the people digging your grave. But as I said I get what you're saying which is why one part of me is skeptical. For some reason one part of me is seeing this lead to somewhere not good.
I think there are certain jobs/industries where some behaviors are more tolerated, accepted, etc. Often those who are prone to such things will seek out those environments where they are able to act out easier, have greater access, and maybe even have others who are similar around.
Wonder if Ben's career will be tanked because of the groping? If so, that's very sad. How many years ago is that? And it seems to be a one off.
Bingo. Many of these women weren't exactly Little Red Riding Hood. They knew what they were getting into. The bald fact is Harvey made these women rich and famous. Especially Gwyneth Paltrow, he discovered her outright The case is strong here for MGTOW, just withhold your male resources from women altogether if this is going to be the result
Nah, Ben will be fine. Too much money riding on him right now as Batman. If this was 10 years ago when his career was more shaky, maybe
Evan Rachel Wood explains why she cannot name her rapists | Daily Mail Online I'm afraid and I don't think that's my fault': Evan Rachel Wood explains why she cannot name 'powerful, entitled, rich, narcissistic white men' who raped her - including an ex-boyfriend Evan Rachel Wood said in a video posted on Wednesday that she has privately revealed her rapists, but is not able to do so publicly yet 'It took me seven years after I was raped to even admit that I was raped, that I should be upset and to get help for the trauma I endured,' said Wood She described her rapists as 'very powerful, very rich, very entitled, very narcissistic white men,' previously saying one was an ex and one a bar owner 'The fact that women are not able to name their abusers is not their fault,' said Wood: 'If the victim is not ready you cannot fight that battle for them' She closed by stating: 'I'm here to tell you I'm afraid, and I don't think that's my fault' Evan Rachel Wood is explaining why she has yet to publicly reveal the identities of the men who raped her in an emotional new video. The 'Westworld' actress, 30, posted a 15 minute clip to Twitter on Wednesday, in which she talked through the gear and concerns she has about naming her rapists. Wood described the individuals as 'very powerful, very rich, very entitled, very narcissistic white men,' but offered not other details beyond stating that she has walked out of award shows when one of the men has been honored with a trophy. The actress revealed last year that she had been sexually assaulted on at least two occasions, once by an ex-boyfriend and once by a man she identified as a bar owner. In her video on Wednesday, she said it took her seven years to even admit to herself that she had been sexually assaulted by these men. 'I haven't named my abusers for a number of reasons. One, I'm one person against some very powerful people,' said Wood. 'Two: money and time and retraumatizing yourself, go after the person who assaulted you takes quite a toll.' She went on to state: 'It's a terrifying thing to go through, mainly because you are at the risk of not being believed, your career being hurt, you being drained of your finances because it costs a lot of money to file a lawsuit and go to court with someone, especially if all you have is your word against theirs.' Wood then added: 'And especially if these are very powerful people.' The actress circled back to that idea multiple times throughout the lengthy video, which seemed to be filmed at a studio while the actress was not on set.
LOL, it looks like MTV/Viacom is going out their way to have these videos pulled from YouTube. Thankfully several major news entertainment outlets used the video clip in their news reports they uploaded to YouTube.
Regardless of what the media thinks or wants the public to believe, touching or groping a woman's breast without consent is a MISDEMEANOR sex offense. Meaning it's unlikely it would ever result in jail time for a first time offender. People are talking about Ben Affleck like he potentially committed a felony sexual assault. Even Weinstein, as sleazy as his is, is in more jeopardy for the rape allegations than the groping or sexual harassment charges.
https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/kate-beckinsale-alleges-harvey-weinstein-141038401.html Kate Beckinsale Alleges Harvey Weinstein Sexually Harassed Her as a Teenager Entertainment TonightOctober 12, 2017 View photos "I was incredibly naive and young and it did not cross my mind that this older, unattractive man would expect me to have any sexual interest in him." On Thursday morning, Beckinsale posted a photo to Instagram of herself at a young age, and claimed in the caption that the Hollywood movie mogul sexually harassed her when she was a teenager. View photos (Photo: Kate Beckinsale via Instagram) "I was called to meet Harvey Weinstein at the Savoy Hotel when I was 17. I assumed it would be in a conference room which was very common. When I arrived, reception told me to go to his room," she wrote. "He opened the door in his bathrobe. I was incredibly naive and young and it did not cross my mind that this older, unattractive man would expect me to have any sexual interest in him." "After declining alcohol and announcing that I had school in the morning, I left uneasy but unscathed," Beckinsale continued. "A few years later, he asked me if he had tried anything with me in that first meeting. I realized he couldn't remember if he had assaulted me or not." The 44-year-old actress said over the course of her career she repeatedly refused to work with Weinstein, and while she stands by that decision, she said it "undoubtedly harmed" her professionally. "I said 'no' to him professionally many times over the years -- some of which ended up with him screaming at me, calling me a c**t and making threats," she wrote. "Some of which made him laughingly tell people, 'Oh, Kate lives to say no to me.'" Beckinsale praised all the other women who have shared similar stories of allegedly being sexually harassed by Weinstein, and hopes that gone are the days when "producers, managers, executives and assistants" can say, "'Well, that's just Harvey.'" "Let's stop allowing our young women to be sexual cannon fodder," she concluded her post. "And let's remember that Harvey is an emblem of a system that is sick, and that we have work to do."
Harvey fucked himself. BUt if you read what Kate Beckinsale said about him, it illustrates my personal problem with these multiple charges of sexual harassment against Weinstein. "I was incredibly naive and young and it did not cross my mind that this older, unattractive man would expect me to have any sexual interest in him." So does that mean if Harvey Weinstein was younger and attractive at the time, it would have been okay for him to make a play for her?? I understand the reasons Weinstein's IMO clumsy advances are considered workplace sexual harassment because of the incredible influence Weinstein had in deciding whether or not an actor got work with his studio, but I feel like these accusations are being blown out of proportion. Is there any example of a female actor who declined Weinstein's advances and subsequently lost a movie role, or couldn't find work? Rose McGowan got chewed up and spit out by Hollywood because she got 'old' and cut her face up with too much plastic surgery. Not because of Weinstein. I think we all know guys who hit on almost every woman who walks by, but IMO that's just one of those things. It's just crazy to me that there's this huge spotlight on only Weinstein when we all know every man in Hollywood down to the studio grips is hitting on coworkers and doing 'unprofessional' shit like trying to date coworkers.
Weinstein is not the only one who has done actually, or allegedly, done this. Steven Seagall was sued by Jaime Pressley for inappropriate behavior some years ago. With so many actresses coming forward, it's like a dam about to crumble. When I was a movie extra, it was simple logic; the more attractive you are, the closest to the stars and action you will get. And if one is fortunate, you could get a speaking part and have to join the Screen Actor's Guild(SAG). Joining the SAG is a big step forward for extras. It is also a big plus for the agent(s) who represent you. "I'm gonna make you a star," is cliched but it's still effective. No doubt not even implied in most cases because trust had already been established. For actors in Hollywood, it is like the porn industry, stars come and go. It's a revolving door. It also should apply to the Hollywood big shots past, present and future. They are not immune, either. Directors, especially the great ones, try to get something out of their actors on the set. But off the set, the actor/actress is and should always be off limits. If all of this is true about Weinstein, his name and reputation will be forever tarnished.
Now they are getting after Jason Momoa for comments he made about raping beautiful women on GoT speaking about his character making a joke about it... https://twitter.com/peeanofreek/status/918331118906236929 Mind you this was 6 years ago as well was his apology, but I guess they want him to apologize again. And to @andreboba point notice how Chris Evans is getting a pass when he called Scarlett Johansson a slut and apologized for it. Looks have something to do with it? This is the part of me that believes this a witch hunt by white political feminist for a move to replace power in Hollywood. As we know white political feminist are just as racist as white male supremacist. They don't believe in or fight for racial diversity and equality, in fact some of them have been expose for the racially insensitive comments before that got quickly swept under the rug after their apology and some didn't have to apologize just disappeared until it went away. Notice how it is mostly white men, powerful white men being exposed for sexism while the so-called powerful black men over at the NFL at the mercy of powerful white men. All they have is Bill Cosby until they want to try and associate black rappers misogynistic lyrics to prove how black men's "power" have to be taken away. Something tells me the black politcial feminist will probably lead the way.
Sadly,Weinstein is not the only one and it will be more scandal if more speak out on other powerful Hollywood people. The folks of the Oscars are going to kick him out but,let Roman Polanski stay which is rich.
James Woods had an allegation thrown at him. He allegedly tried to pick up a young actress who was 16 at the time. Woods retired from films just recently, citing that he cannot work because he is a conservative.
That is a lame excuse. I saw him in many projects and no doubt made money for the studios. He is what is called a legacy actor a person who still works in spite of the controversial comments he/she makes. Mostly a face saving move.
Legacy actor. That's a new one. Or perhaps Woods left because it was true and that the authorities would come after him.
Every time I see Roman Polanski's name at the Oscars show, I have to wonder if he had ever set foot in this country. No doubt the police are wondering, too.
I read somewhere that Woods played the part of the priest in Scary Movie 2 because the role was originally supposed to be played by Marlon Brando. Brando backed out but was still paid $1.000.000.00. It would've been even more fun if Brando played the part. But Woods did a good job.
Rose McGowan just accused Weinstein of rape, after signing a non-disclosure agreement in 1997 not to discuss the incident. The rape charges are what's going to really take Harvey down. That's why currently he's not in the country. Leaving the United States to avoid criminal prosecution instead of sticking around to fight the charges is NOT a good look.
