Nicky Whelan's fiancé Kerry Rhodes was involved in a car accident this week after crashing his Aston Martin into a Los Angeles apartment building.
The former NFL star took to Instagram on Friday to reveal details of the incident, along with an image of his ankles - one of which was noticeably swollen.
'My day is over.. Blessed to be alive,' he wrote in the caption, before launching into a blow-by-blow description of the crash.

I remember hearing the story about actress Elsa Lanchester(The Bride Of Frankenstein). As she told it, she walked in on her husband, actor and director Charles Laughton, with another man. Though she was shocked, she told Laughton that she didn't care about his being gay and that she didn't want him to do anything with a man around her. They stayed married until Laughton died in 1962.
