People can't think their vote doesn't matter, or that their candidate is going to win easily.

Towards end of the general election campaign, all the pundits and pollsters were predicting an easy Clinton victory. The mistake was too many Dem voters believed them.

Also I believe at least a million Bernie bros stayed home. Far fewer Blacks showed up to vote in 2016 too.

 

A WW in a relationship with a BM would be expected to reject white supremacy. I think that's logical.
White supremacy is not something any of my female friends would support, that's for sure.

1. Final electoral college count 306 vs 232. That's not a close race...he's up by 74 here. Despite what the media tried to convince the country last year, she never had a chance.
2. He ran against one person less electable than him? Right...that's how elections are won.
3. He won because half the country stayed home? Right, like in most every other election, a large percentage of people who can legally vote do not, unfortunately. This election was no different.

Agreed. I personally know a young lady in college who's quite the humanitarian and all about fighting for minorities. When Heyer's parents and friends spoke about her... it immediately reminded me of the girl I know and she absolutely would say that she's simply doing what's right and doesn't deserve any special attention. Sounds like Heyer was that type of person as well.

People at the Charlottesville rally noticed that most of the alt-right were carrying firearms.
Even members of Trump's own party chastised him for his comments, because whether he knew it or not, he was DEFENDING neo-nazis and the KKK, and there is no moral equivalence to either group.
