Wait that was him in Little Boxes...I didn't recgonize him at all. Damn shame fine actor. RIP Brother.
@darkcurry 1 of the podcasts I listen to (FiyaStarter Podcast) was talking about "The Circle" & John Boyega's disappointing role in the movie. And they brought up young star film actresses with black male actors in films. Do agree with what they saying? Here's the link: https://www.podomatic.com/podcasts/fiyastarter/episodes/2017-07-05T22_09_25-07_00 The discussion happens during the 1:08:14-1:15:25 period.
I thought the one dude had a point and I think TDK have mentioned this that Hollywood isn't going to let these mainstream white female stars in their prime have a black man as their romantic love interest. (although he said it much differently. LMAO! Dude was blunt as hell.) But their have been exceptions like Kristen Bell, Michelle Pfieffer and Lucy Hale in her upcoming series for the CW. But yeah for the most part they still do everything they can to friendzone black men with these actresses ESPECIALLY when they are in their prime. They also referenced it is also a practice done it porn sometimes, these brothas are woke. That's what's needed in order to eradicate a problem, more and more people have to recognize that Hollywood has one.
Meh even an Indian Guy can get a white girl in a movie....but a black man still cant... Granted I think the Big Sick is one off but the point stands.
Still female stars in their prime is where I was getting at. Plus Kristen Bell is both a movie star and tv star.
Sorry, but that's incorrect. That scene was definitely in the film when it was released. I was around 10 or 12 when the movie cam out. I saw it in the theater. We caught bus and snuck in.
has anyone seen, "How to make love to a negro without getting tired"... 1989? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097098/?ref_=kw_li_tt
Red Band version of that teaser trailer: Full trailer dropped a couple weeks ago: New trailer dropped today:
The new trailer looks better than the others. May want to see it. I love that actresses like Aubrey Plaza, Margot Robbie are just casually having multiple black love interest on screen and it doesn't affect their careers destroying that myth they tried to place on Julia Stiles.
Idris Elba and Kate Winslet filming scenes for their film The Mountain Between Us months after production ended and close to the release date in October. Thought those clothes looked familiar Could they be possibly re-shooting this scene minus the kissing parts? Sure looks like it. Hopefully not. Like I said in this day and age of the internet that would make it so obvious.
Netflix Debuted it's trailer for the new Will Smith movie BRIGHT. https://twitter.com/BrightNetflix/status/888169981862494210 https://twitter.com/RottenTomatoes/status/888174609811480576 The sexy Dawn Olivieri from House Of Lies plays his wife
Kind of the opposite with me, I was interested in it when the teaser first came out, but looking at the trailer it doesn't grab me. Cool concept, but in the trailer they don't do the concept justice. But since it's on NetFlix I will give this a shot. One other note: Either the media didn't want to list the IR in this movie or Netflix was keeping it that under wraps, because when a few of these media sites was listing upcoming IR films they seemed to have missed this one while mentioning all those black women involved in IR in film.
Do they usually count Netflix movies? I like the fantasy genre (but I suppose that is because Harry Potter had a large influence) ...I was going to watch it anyway its hard to find black guys in major roles in this stuff.
