Most definitely he was great! But when it's Tom Brady they are almost going always be biased.

Part of the reason Tom Brady is a God to the sports media is because he is white. I couldn't imagine the media treating a black QB like that.

 

The media recognized O.J. Simpson, Mean Joe Green, Jim Brown, Walter Peyton, William "Refrigerator " Perry. They may not have been quarterbacks but they were tops in their game back in the days.

The one White quarterback I thought was really good was Joe Namath. Later on, Roger Staubach of the Dallas Cowboys, then Terry Bradshaw, John Riggins, John Eleanor, Joe Montana ,Brett Favre and Dan Marino.

This was back in the days when the quarterback was (and probably still is) the player everyone on and off the field rooted for. That favorite target for the opposing team. Every other position was secondary. And yet, very important.

Big money is ruining the sports world. It used to be about the love of the game and comradeship of the teammates.
